Around 12 hours after changing to 'preparing', my base model rMBP has officially shipped!

Delivery by UPS, estimated delivery to Northern Ireland on 19th July. The wait is almost over. Original delivery estimate was 16-20th, so, it falls within estimate at least. It's going to be a long 6 days...

Me too! Except I don't have a UPS tracking number, probably because mine is being merged with my edu gift card first.

I wish expeditors would give me some more information!

We might be on the same pallet then, for part of the way at least! What's your delivery estimate?
It should take 24 hours before the shipment appears on the UPS tracking website anyway, correct? My tracking number is giving me nothing on the UPS site.

I'm fairly sure that it arrives on the 14th at heathrow but UPS will pick it up from customs on the 16th... fairly standard as our usless HMRC probably don't work weekends so the Unions don't get too upset!!! (Maybe that's just for passengers served by UKBA???!!!)

Yeah, arrives at 7:15pm London Heathrow from Germany on the 14th. I then have two dates on the Expeditors. One says 16th July pickup. the other says 17th July.

Hopefully the 16th July is UPS pickup and 17th July is the actual delivery date to my door.

I think trying to work through it that means it was originally requested to arrive on the 17th but appears to be being handed over a day early...

I'm debating if I should complain fairly sure I will be getting mine tues Wednesday but my shipping says it should arrive on the 20th and I'm supposed to arrive between the 12-18th...

Unless its on a scheduled flight? There appears to be a Korean airlines flight direct to Heathrow landing at 17.15 but I am sure I will get an update later?

Thats what my delivery note has down as carrier. I had a superdrive ordered but cancelled that, so nothing has to be merged before coming out to me.

Seems I was wrong. Arrival scan at Warsaw. I'm guessing we're on the same pallet?

My delivery estimate just dropped from 19th to 18th, once Apple updated my proper UPS tracking number. I should have it on Wednesday! Officially left Shanghai, anybody else in the same shipment as I am?

Shanghai, China 11:41 P.M. Departure Scan
8:31 P.M. Origin Scan
7:41 A.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

It looks to me like Apple are doing this two different ways. Your clearly shows it stopping in Germany, but mine and the other guys show direct flights to Heathrow arriving at 5pm UK time.

so clearly today's flight has already landed and tomorrows leaves at 6am and the flight is about 12 hours.

Ours isn't actually a flight. It's a Frankfurt - London truck delivery, which kinda sucks.

The route mine is going: Shanghai > Almaty (fuel stop 1 hour) > Frankfurt > London Heathrow (via truck) > UPS handover. Then to the merging centre etc.

Yay

Ordered On 22-Jun-2012 and preparing for shipment. :D :apple:

You must be about the first from the 22nd to report a change in status. I wonder if the factories work in shifts over the weekend? I ordered on the 25th, so will be hoping for a change in status in about 3days time.

I don't want to annoy anyone but the shipping times have been reduced to 2-3 weeks on all retina MBP models now.

What I noticed on finance is the order isn't actually placed until two days after the original order. So mine was placed on Apple on the 18th but on my shipping confirmation it shows the 20th.

I would phone Apple either way as shipping times have now reduced to 2-3 weeks as well.

Yes, does that make a difference then??

I'm on financing, ordered 21st, and it changed to preparing for shipping today, although it still hasnt actually shipped.

Financing makes no difference to when its shipped or delivered, as it only takes a few days from the day you order for everything to be reviewed by Barclays.

I ordered mine on financing in the initial 5-7 day queue but by the time Barclays sorted themselves out I ended up in the 3-4 week lot. Right up to the day Apple received my agreement from Barclays it said 5-7 days.
