if yours is travelling with lufthansa cargo as mine was, then it means its coming to london from shanghai via frankfurt.

Mine shows delivery as 30 July yet PO 20 July.

I have not looked so much at delivery dates since ordered first new car; how sad???:eek:

I guess mine is in the same batch as yours, I got the same tracking details.
 
Mine has also shipped wooooo. Delivery on or before 27th June they say. I have a few questions:

1) Is this date likely yo be adhered to, given I am Edu store customer? (with all the gift card merging and all...)
2) How can I further track it, with flights etc?

Use the expo.expeditors.com website to track it using the delivery number on your apple order in bridge point and it should be delivere by 27th if that is what it says in bridge point.

That's not sad at all I am checking mine even more now than before!
 
When do you reckon this will come through my door?

Mine was delivered, I assume, to the apple merging centre yesterday (Sat). Not sure if they work Sundays but would hope it could be merged and sent on to UPS today (Sunday), and hopefully delivered tomorrow. However, the apple store says no later that 24th (tuesday). What have people's experiences been of this kind of timeline before. Reckon I will get it Monday or Tuesday?

I'd say that's an incredible price, to the point where I've ordered one for delivery tomorrow and felt the need to create a MacRumors account just to thank you! You saved me £50 and I can get my Retina much, much sooner.

Was previously waiting on a 2.3/8/256 on order from the Apple store, placed 28/06, which was still processing last time the store account login was working. Only ordered online so I could use an 8% employee discount, and I've noticed in the last week or so that people ordering 8GB variants seem to be facing much longer waits.

Upgrading from an embattled-but-defiant 2.0Ghz C2D MacBook from, IIRC, 2007, that somehow still drives a 24" external monitor and runs FCP 7 (sort of). My company machine is a 15" 2.2Ghz i7 MBP with 8GB, so it'll be good to come home to something even nicer, and with admin permissions.

I'm now in the unusual position of hoping that my Apple store order is still processing next time I can check it, so I can cancel it easily.
 
I was pretty sure it wasn't a scam, because ebuyer are pretty well known. What I'd forgotten - until after I'd placed my new rMBP order - was that the last time I tried to buy anything from them (which was in 2005) they refused to accept my credit card for payment.

Logging into my old account, I can still see the communications I had with them, in which I repeatedly insisted that I'd verified with my bank that my card was in good standing and they weren't aware of any reason why it should be declined. ebuyers only response was to tell me to speak with the bank again.

Eventually, I gave up and politely told them I would never attempt to order from them again.

Based on the above experience, I held off on cancelling my Apple order until the ebuyer order shipped. I'm very glad I did so, because a few minutes ago ebuyer sent me two emails within one minute of each other. Paraphrased, they said the following -

1) I need to email them a scan of my passport photo page or driving license as well as a utility bill more than two months old (not counting bank statements and phone bills).

2) My order has been cancelled [Edit - either because I have requested cancellation, or because the item is no longer available].

Incredible.

Update to the above: Tried another order with ebuyer, this time to my home address rather than my office, thinking that since that's where my card is registered it might not be such of a problem. This time I was instantly rejected, with the same two emails.

Reckon they've got me flagged as a potential fraudster now, when all I actually want to do is pay them £1600 of my own hard-earned for a laptop.

Honestly, I've been granted foreign work permits that required less proof of identity than ebuyer need to accept a payment that's already fraud-protected in a pretty serious way by HSBC.

He asked replied late on wednesday asking to leave it with him until friday afternoon (he was off on thursday). I never heard from him on friday, however I was away this weekend and noticed that on friday night it went to prepared to ship, it went to shiped on Saturday.

I got back this afternoon and looked at the tracking and noticed this:

Same happened to me. It used to be part of a pack with 150something pieces now it's just one/.
 
Ordered 3rd July...

Ordered a 2.6 / 16 / 512 rMBP on 3/7. Just got prepare for shipment today! Can't wait :)

Original delivery estimate was 2 Aug / 8 Aug should hopefully beat that slightly.
 
Just got back from my two weeks of festivaling, got an e-mail on the 21st saying it had been shipped and should be here by Wednesday :D Yay! Now time to crash until 6AM when I'll have to get up for work :( :( :(
