Roll on tomorrow now and I am guessing if your order is the same as mine the extra 2 days or so is to merge packages?
For me, the requested delivery date was the date that it was delivered to apple for merging. They have then taken 2 days to merge with the itunes voucher (a number, just email it why don't you), and today have passed on to UPS (1am this morning), hopefully to deliver tomorrow. Hence my through the door delivery will be 3 days after the Requested Delivery Date from expiditors (though exactly inline with the expected delivery date on the apple site). Hopefully yours will be quicker than that.

Good luck - when did UPS get yours? UPS were given mine today (well the package label / order). So I am hoping to a delivery tomorrow as per Apple's website forecast. Maybe possibly today, but not holding my breath (but am staying in!)
Can anyone confirm whether the 'Requested Delivery Date' from expo is the date that you're likely to receive the package or does that only relate to getting it into the UK from China?
As posted on the main thread I've just cancelled my 2.6/8/512 order placed on the 6th July due to arrive 6th Aug, replaced it with an order for the 16Gb RAM and it's due to arrive the same original day.
It is the date the apple merging centre will receive it (in the UK). Expect delivery about 3 days after that date - they merge it, typically with say itunes discount voucher, then they give it to UPS, UPS then put it in their system, it then comes through your door. Delivery date to your address is likely to be viewable from the actual apple website, and, at least in my case is looking like it will be accurate (tomorrow will tell).
I have read one or two reports in this thread of it coming in less than 3 days after the expiditors 'Requested Delivery Date', but that is typically when there is no merging to be done by apple.
I think my order and another guys on this thread will be on that flight tomorrow according to expo.expeditors.com
Can't see any reason why that would not happen and just in time for the weekend which is a bonus.
Trading in my MBA for a few quid on the following Tuesday so cannot ask for more perfect timing.
That is good timing. I get on a plane to NY for a week on saturday morning so really hoping Friday is the day indeed.

Mine is on a flight from Frankfurt to London today. Requested delivery date showing as 25th July with Apple telling me that delivery will be on 27th July. Seems to coordinate well with your observations.
Is it just me? None of my reference numbers return any information on expo.expeditors.com, but I can track it on the UPS website - says it's still in Shanghai. How come everybody else is tracking on Expeditors?
Looks like I am exactly one day ahead of you guys.....

what reference numbers do you have? the one for expeditors should start with an 8.
Yes my "Our Delivery Reference Number" starts with an 8. Expeditors website says "No data available in table" but UPS says "In Transit: On Time Shanghai, China 22/07/2012 0:35 Arrival Scan"

No, the 8 number doesn't work in UPS. Apple told me a UPS shipping number in addition to the 8 number in my shipping notification (mixture of letters and numbers).
Perhaps mine is being shipped directly via UPS rather than being merged in the UK before shipping. That might be the case because otherwise it would miss the delivery deadline they gave me when I ordered.
