Think this will be Friday?
Someone on the O2 forum has said that they have been told by O2 CS that their 64GB iPhone 6 Plus is "preparing for dispatch", despite their order showing as "in progress" on the website.
Tempted to put a call in myself tomorrow, but always think that they'll just tell me anything to get off the phoneMajor trust issues!
Just logged in to check mine and both say "in progress".
Fully expecting the other halfs 6 here on Friday, just not my 6+.
Still at least it doesn't mention any delay.
On the O2 forums at the moment a guy is saying support has told him that no pre-orders are going to be sent out until AFTER the 19th now. Urgh.
Hard to know what's happening..
It depends on who you talk to at O2, everyone gets told different things. I still think they are just covering themselves.
I've had the following problems with them:-
1) iPhone earphones cut out one one side within 6 months.
They refused to replace them claiming wear and tear.
2) iPhone power button stopped functioning within 9 months.
They looked at the lightning port with a microscope and sent a photo of the "user damage" by email (it always worked for me) and then tried to charge £190 to "repair" a phone that was legally within warranty citing "user damage" as an excuse for it.
Apple simply gave me a new phone in it's entirely when I complained to them.
3) I asked them if I could change the Direct Debit date from billed on the 14th and taken on the 28th to actually taken on the 14th
They took nearly £70 1 week after the 28th instead and if I don't pay by the 4th every month (NOT the 14th as I agreed and paid for), they cut me off.
4) They introduced a new "Refresh" tariff within months
This was for exactly the same cost and offered exactly the same unlimited minutes/text and 2Gb of data as existing contracts but you could pay off the phone and just pay for service if you wanted to.
Existing contracts only offered a 25% discount if paid off in full (which means they gouge you 50% of the total amount of unused service).
They also won't even let you do that unless you agree to sign another 2 year contract with them!
O2 are unscrupulous, dishonest, money grabbing and immoral. They'll get my custom only till the end of my contact and maybe for a little longer on a pay and go tariff to keep the phone and not have to have it unlocked but I'll never sign another contact with them ever again!
They even charge more to buy an iPhone outright than Apple do.
You'd have to be a deluded fan boy of O2 to resort to victim-blaming as excuse for any of that!
That's the thing about service with big businesses, it often depends who you end up dealing with on the end of the line. They have policies, but it depends a lot more on the discretion of the guy you get.
You can get a human, or you can get some miserable jobsworth tacitly enjoying telling you no and reveling in your frustration![]()
Alright everyone,
After a super bad experience trying to order iP6+ online Friday morning (finally got a order in a around 3pm) my confirmation email said 2/3 weeks delivery but O2 have taken the money out off my account today!
What's the luck of it being delivered on Friday as the money has been taken?
Thanks
Just came off the phone to a very helpful O2 chap who was very thorough, checking my details asking around etc.
Apparently I'm in the first wave of pre-orders.
My order will be delivered on Friday if O2 have the phones on Thursday.
Will be delivered Monday if O2 get the phones on Friday.
They are now quoting 2-3 weeks if you preorder now till launch date, and 6-7 weeks if you order on launch date onwards.
iPhone 6 plus 128GB Silver.
We shall see.....
snip!
Nice one!
I checked the girlfriend's just now (pretending to be her) and they're saying her 6 will be dispatched on the 19th. I also asked him to check my 6+ (different agent, so worth comparing response) and he told me straight out:
O2 - **********
Since it is iPhone 6 plus it is out of stock so it might not be possible for him to get the phone dispatched on the 19th September 2014.
Then
If it more then 8 days and the customer does not get the iPhone 6 or 6+ O2 is going to provide with a loyalty payback.
Customer will receive an airtime credit for each day they wait, up to a maximum of 42 days (which is a maximum of six weeks).
So people can pretty much find out if they're up for an early delivery. Worth checking!
