Quoted from a post on the O2 Forum....

I have spoken to multiple advisors this morning and obviously all said something entirely different, the latest said that she had spoken with supervisors and they have informed as mine were one of the first to be ordered i will receive friday, she explained first orders would have a status of awaiting despatch, bare in mind this status can only be found out if you ring and ask all my o2 states is in progress, any that are for delivery past friday will state back order or out of stock something along those lines, any that are in awaiting despatch status will be despatched either today or tomorrow and therefore delivered friday

After getting the run around yesterday, the first guy I spoke to today has told me both 6 and the 6+ orders are awaiting dispatch and will be sent with UK Mail. Said email with tracking no. will be sent out soon.

Not sure if serious..

I'll be seriously gutted if by picking delivery I get it Monday or later, whereas had I picked in-store pickup, I'd have got it Friday.

There's a guy walked into an O2 store at placed an order at 5pm on Friday. Got his collect on 19th text yesterday :D

I'd find that a bit annoying, cos I spent 7 and a half hours trying to place an order:p

Maybe ordering to store is the fastest option.. we'll soon find out!

I suppose it depends what device you go for. As of yesterday afternoon you could still pre-order a 6 128GB in silver from the website for delivery/collection on release day

I tried that, I was told no iPhone 6+ stock until October 13th which is too late for me as I'll be away then.

O2 online chat promised me delivery for release day so I took the chance. I don't think its going to happen though :(.

I've had the following problems with them:-

1) iPhone earphones cut out one one side within 6 months.

They refused to replace them claiming wear and tear.

2) iPhone power button stopped functioning within 9 months.

They looked at the lightning port with a microscope and sent a photo of the "user damage" by email (it always worked for me) and then tried to charge £190 to "repair" a phone that was legally within warranty citing "user damage" as an excuse for it.

Apple simply gave me a new phone in it's entirely when I complained to them.

Within the first 12 months, you have Apple warranty and Apple will sort it out. On the other hand, it's your choice to go to O2 (seller) or Apple (manufacturer) and each of them is legally required to help you.

From threads on other forums, it seems that some sellers make wild claims that they don't have to give you any service after twelve months and try to fob you off to go to Apple. In that case the best Apple will do is to explain to you that these sellers are lying, and send you back. (Also, if the seller claims the damage is your fault, Apple can look at a problem and give you an expert opinion which would be the required proof that it's their fault and not yours).

Ah yeah, I just checked. It was an iPhone 6, not 6+ he got.

Definitely think there's a few fibs being told by the Live Chat guys :D

Anyone collecting in-store not got a text yet? Or is it too early for that yet?

The one that confirms that you can collect on Friday I mean. The only one I have is the one saying "Thanks for pre-ordering APPLE iPHONE 6 64GB SILVER on O2. It's expected on 19/09/2014"

Looked on the O2 forum and one guy said...

I ws told over the phone from ym store that I would get that text Friday morning at about 7 as this would be when they "check-in" the phone onto site but seems they have done it early and the system has sent the text.

It all depends on when your store "checks" them in. I know they didn't want to do it till the morning as it creates a seciurity risk now I know its there and thus someone else who has heard the news could break in and nick them.

So in your case if you ordered in store, it may well be there but just not checked in.

Chap over in the UK forum has posted his email saying his iPhone 6 is available for collection on Friday from his local store.

Got a text just now saying my iPhone is at the O2 shop for collection on Friday :)

I'm hoping that if "first wave" orders for collect in-store are available for collection on launch day, that "first wave" orders for delivery will be delivered on launch day.

So all these people that are collecting in-store, do you mean you have ordered online with an option to collect in-store?

Seems odd that the store is getting iPhones delivered to it but won't have any for people that actually ordered from the store itself (like me) until estimated 7th October.

What i'm trying to say is the resolution on my Nokia 3510i isn't cutting it at the moment.

I can tell you exactly when I did it, I got a text while I was still sat talking to the girl in the shop:

14:58 on Saturday 13th.

Then I got another text today to say it'll be ready to collect on Friday:

10:43 on Wednesday 17th.

Is this for a 6? Could be a shortage on the 6 plus (which i went for).

Enjoy your phone broheim.

Not got a text about it being instore, last text I got said I could collect in store from the 19th September though.

Some people on the O2 forums have started to report tracking information showing in My O2. I'm a returning customer though so My O2 only shows my previous disconnected bill and no My Orders option.
