Carrier UK O2 Pre-order Thread

Hi everyone,

Just checked online and (in the last couple of hours) mine's changed from no delivery information to:

Parcel Number: Unable to display
Courier Name: Unable to display
Dispatch Date: 16th September 2014

I ordered a 6 16gb space grey at about 15.30 on Friday 12th.

Not sure why it's saying unable to display the courier but it's an update so wanted to contribute as I was reading this thread all day!!

O2 chat was stupidly ridiculous earlier - all stock phrases and no help whatsoever!

Anyone else had any updates?

I have just got of the phone to a very helpful scottish fella who also finally sounded like he knew what he was talking about, he said when the phones were first ordered they all fell into an "out of stcok" status this was untiul the warehouse sorted all orders out as they were ordered on the system ie. "first come, first served" he confirmed mine was accepted onto the system at 08:12am and now shows as "awaiting despatch" and going of his knowledge that would be in the first batch, he said the orders didn't start to go to a number of weeks delay until around 11am/12pm on Friday, he also stated that the warehouse staff are to be working overnight getting all handsets out that need to be out to the "first customers" he said he was 90% certain I will receive all my tracking details by tomorrow afternoon if not tonight or through the early hours, hope this helps anyone who ordered within the timescale I did and whatever information they have been given

So initially told 6-7 weeks :(
Then told 2-3 weeks 2 days ago :rolleyes:
Now told my order is "out of stock":eek::mad:

Ordered on the saturday morning online. Problem is I move location in a few weeks so the delivery address will be wrong. Took me 10 mins to explain it to the lady.

But I was reassured "it won't take longer than 4 weeks" :rolleyes:

Just going to ignore all these threads, sit back and wait like usual

DPD and UK Mail (I'm hoping to get DPD as you can pay £5 and upgrade your delivery to a specific time slot), though an agent told me it was UK Mail (but I think he was just making stuff up).

I really hope it's DPD as they tell you upfront the time slot and allow on-the-fly changes (deliver to neighbour etc)

Ah good to hear!

Checked the orders here and the 6 has updated on O2's website showing blank courier details.

No change on the 6+ though :mad:
 
I ordered a 6 and a 6 plus. I ordered the plus at 7:56. Order went through by 8:10am on Friday. I have no tracking for this. I ordered the 6 on Saturday. I have tracking for this.

Here's hoping things change today!

Hmm. Definitely a HUGE change of tone from them. Over the past few days they just waffled until you closed chat :D

I just had another chat and got the usual scripted response. Awaiting dispatch, you'll be notified of dispatch, not dispatching until 19th blah blah.
 
Should be soon for the 6+'s. Seems they are getting done in order after all. A guy with a confirmation of 7:59 am just got his tracking info :D

Just refreshed my order and I now have a tracking number with UK Mail!

My order confirmation email came thorugh at 07:59 on Friday morning - I would've hoped that was enough!!
