iPod touch UK order status thread

When I track the parcel on TNT's website, it says "Status: Please Call" - should I be worried?

Edit: Never mind, I gave them a quick call. Apparently all it means is if you want more information about its current status, give them a call! never hurts to make sure, though!

On the tracking page where it says "Was your consignment sent from or to a location outside of the United Kingdom?" you need to choose Yes.

Anyone ordering now from uk apple store can expect a 2-3 week wait, I ordered yesterday and it says this

Estimated Shipping: 09 Oct, 2007 - 12 Oct, 2007
Estimated Delivery: 15 Oct, 2007 - 19 Oct, 2007

Apple says I should get on 2nd :rolleyes: highly unlikely! When do you guys reckon mine'll come?
 
Probably the day after, mine says same as yours apart from it was "Shipped From Originating Depot" on 28th and not 29th and is expected on 2nd so since yours is a day behind I guess the same should stay true with delivery (unless mine gets here a day before although I doubt it'll be that quick!)

Hmm, yours seems to have been shipped at the same time as WelshMac's (which means I probably was wrong in not being sure of his reliability). Using the tracking number he posted in his topic, his seems to have been delivered at mid day. Since his was on the same shipment as you, maybe yours will get here today too.

For the rest of us who only got shipped on the 27th, rather than 25th like you two, his took 4 days, so if ours run to the same schedule that is Monday, if the weekend causes it to run slightly slower (due to not as many people working) then Apple is right with their Tuesday estimate. Whichever it is, NOT LONG NOW!

depends how long it takes to get from arnhem to milton keynes. Even if it does come today, i'm not at work to pick it up. My reckoning, for my order sent out on the 25 is mon probably tues.
 
All iPods shipped on the 28th should arrive the UK by Monday. Then as promised, I guess on the 2nd we should be enjoying our touches.
 
I'm guessing it is on it's way from there to Arnhem (Netherlands). Both WelshMac's and brg666 took two days to make that particular leg of the trip. So, I'd guess it should get there at some point tomorrow.

Although I had an email from Apple in Ireland (My Items always seem to come from here) with my invoice, so maybe it's in ireland? or just wishful thinking...

Means that it's currently somewhere between Shanghai and the UK. I guess they fly it in a plane, so the pilots are either taking a day off to relax in some sunny equator country or it's sitting at a warehouse in Europe already.

I can wait two more days :D

Things are so much better when you've been made to wait for them.

Your iPod touch hasn't shipped because you ordered an iMac at the same time, which will delay your order a little.
 
so, mine shipped on the 29th, but i don't have any tracking details. All it says when i track my order on apple is: "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" so i can't track it on TNT.

Anyone know why this might be? Also any idea why my delivery date is so late (the 9th - 10th)?

i had the same but once TNT update there tracking and apple supply you with the TNT tracking no. apple updates to a more "appropriate" delivery estimate
