iPod touch UK order status thread

Order Date - September 13th
Estimated Shipping September 28th
Estimated Delivery October 10th
I guess because they spelt Sedgefield wrong on the roads signs near where I live mines going to take an extra 5 days to arrive... worst part is i work at a UPS depot so will have all the other iPod Touches taunting me while i work

Bah, mine has changed to 5th delivery today after being the 2nd since I placed the order. Still on "Not Yet Shipped". Ordered on the 6th of September. Bah, should of never ordered with the online store after what happened with my Macbook Pro

In the UK however we only have 1 shipping option, which is the standard one, but my order details page says 'Fast Ship (EMEA)' does anyone have any idea what EMEA stands for?
Kinda hoping it doesn't ship via UPS. Because in this country they are uber useless.
Mine was ordered as soon as the store came back up after the keynote. As of today it's showing as 'Prepared for Shipment' - ship date of 28th and delivery of 4th/5th.
I think EMEA is a shipping reference for what area our shipping covers, and accronym standing for 'Europe, Middle East and Africa' not 100% sure though.
I'm pretty sure they have used TNT with everything else I've purchased. I hope they don't use UPS, the guy that delivers round here is hopeless. I'll never get my touch!
I know, the iMac’s have been so mean to me this last month, but at least its only a few days away from my iMac and Touch shipping
Also I know everyone hates UPS, but if your item is due to be delivered by them you will receive it the day after it’s taken to there depot, none of that post office 3-5 days ****! My brother phoned apple care for a replacement batter and magesafe charger for his MBP and he got them the next day (Standard UPS delivery).

Also does anyone know why the long wait for us who showed interest in apples new product and pre-ordered it? A friend of mine was in Manchester last week and picked one up from an apple store there, he wasnt even interested in the product until he saw someone at the shop with one, guess we live and learn no point pre-ordering with Apple when they release there products to the masses before they fulfil there pre-orders, even micro$oft puts pre-orders first....

Didn't mean to cause any offence, they use Cooper Carriers in my area and they are crap.
I cancelled my original 5th of September order to apply a £23.something discount. New order date is the 14th but still showing up as not yet shipped. I really want it this week. I can be patient. It was worth it for the discount. I think.
lol, guys the release date is the 28th...chill. The ones in store were some promotional ones and just a handful of pre release iPods. Why would you want to risk getting a shoddy one from the store instead of just waiting until the day they have aaaaaaaaaaaaalways said it is coming out. They havnt exactly lied to you!!!! They havnt even let you down...it is the 28th and as stated on your order it will be despatched on the 28th! (If not then you can complain).
I dont care about the ones in the shops, because they seem to ONLY be available at Apple stores, which are VERY few and far between. Also then there are hardly any at these stores. I don't know 1 single person around here that has one, you will do cos your in a major area, im in the North and there's no one with one so chill.

That's exactly what the Apple German Online Store told me. The order status notwithstanding (not yet shipped, prepared for shipping whatever), touches are not gonna ship until the 28th (at least in Germany).
