iPod touch UK order status thread

So jealous.. I wanted something to play with during lunch!

Guess it'll arrive at about 13:31 (1 minute after lunch ends!)

Maybe I should trigger Murphy's Law and go away from my desk for a coffee.

I'm all the way down here in Ulverston. However Carlisle is the nearest depot (all the more reason not to miss the delivery!)

Well the coffee idea didn't work... shame. I was half expecting to get a bing-bong the moment I was out of range of the speaker. *twiddles thumbs*

I bet TNT's tracking website has never been refreshed so often by so many people.

Edit: I know exactly when it'll arrive, and no doubt need my own signature. Got a meeting with the directors at 2pm... I'll probably get paged then. "Ooh, that'll be the iPod I got delivered here. Excuse me while I borrow some of the company's time" :p

Haha, they told me that when I ordered mine, with Monday 1st October, 7am-6pm as the delivery date, and stock listed as in. "Yep, Monday" they said when I got the confirmation phone call no more than 30 seconds after placing the order.

Guess what isn't here yet. "Might be tomorrow, maybe Wednesday" they said when I rang last night. "Depends when we package it up".
 
Phoned TNT who said it was late getting through China and hasn't arrived in the local depot yet. They say should be tomorrow or possibly Thursday :eek:
 
I cancelled my Apple store order and got one of the few they had in at the Regents Street store 2 weeks ago! I can only imagine what you guys are all going through!

But, believe me it'll be worth the wait - this thing is the best gadget I have ever owned. In fact I'm typing this on my touch whilst in a bar in Mumbai, having a beer and watching the cricket.

Stick with it. I hope yours gets delivered soon!
 
C'mon TNT!!! I've about at most 1 hour left and I don't know where the TNT local deport is in my City! :mad: Amongst all my Internet Shopping experience, I've never had deliveries at this time of the day, NEVER before 12! Its' slow updates on tracking, no updates during weekends, and poor delivery times...nevermind the Customer Service.

Oh man!

I've been in and out of the Regent Street store like a yoyo and haven't come across any on sale.

Mine seems to be on the slowest TNT truck in the world! It's been on it for over three hours and it's really not far from City Airport to Canary Wharf :(

Yay, finally got mine off the idiot at reception (my name wasn't on the list of things delivered today, despite the fact that someone with exactly the same name as her had signed for it. After ages of her looking, insisting they didn't have it if I wasn't on the list, and me insisting they did, it turned out that it was just under the counter, because she hadn't been able to spot a name on it. You know, my name, at the top of the address. In plain sight. Where they normally are. Bah).

Now just waiting for the sync to finish.
 
sigh....mine is now on:

and has been for almost an hour now. I can see exactly what is likely to happen.

It'll eventually be delivered to me on thursday, when i'll be out all day, and not able to recieve it.

I'm beginning to think ordering it direct from apple instead of just going to currys to get one was a big mistake.

Edit: I just phoned TNT to find out when it's likely to be delivered, and they said it is due to be delivered to me today.

Agh.....the suspense is killing me.
 
My tracking is still on Arhem Hub, looks like getting it today (when apple said i would) is out the window :rolleyes:
 
Yeah! :D It says "delivered" even though I have not been at the halls and the reception staff had to sign for it! GREAT

Do you guys charge it over the night or start usin it out of the box?
 
Ordered mine on Sunday (30th Sept), it now says 'Prepared for shipment', what does that mean? There are still 20 days estimated for delivery.

Ah, well I traded immediate ownership with engraving and a £20 discount. I guess I can wait another day.. :D
