iPod touch UK order status thread

gutting thing is my itunes is with me at uni in manchester, i go back home 2moro night (hopefully to my ipod) but the only itunes there is my gf's and I dont want 9hours of maria carey!

Could put all my music on my old 3g ipod and take it home, then sort something out on her laptop...
 
apparently, despite their website saying otherwise, it never left the warehouse.
very angry, my wife stayed in all day waiting for this to be delivered.
If it never left the warehouse they shouldn't have said it was out for delivery!

I'm working nights at the moment, so I'll be picking mine up from their depot tonight on my break.
 
Got mine this morning about 11
Was delivered to my uncles work and he said he's coming later at about 8.
Just one q

how long does it sync when i have just 2gb worth of stuff?
 
couple of minutes tops,

so does the fact that they say estimated delivery 11th October mean I have no chance of getting it by the morning of 4th?
(or are they just covering themselves incase its late)
 
Even after TNT telling me it will be delivered to me before 6pm today i'm starting to have my doubts that i'll get mine today:(

This thing is a beauty :eek: Probably the most stunning looking portable technology item I've bought to date.

It seems to come with a fully charged battery - Apple really have the "out of box experience" down :D

I've got about 2-3GB of stuff and it's been syncing for like 5 mins at least but like with Guinness, patience is a virtue.

Initial impression of the screen is 100% :)
 
what a shower of **** TNT are,

regardless of working time regs, what the hell has got to do with me whether their driver has had enough sleepy winks. Comes down to crap logistics at their end. And now i can't even guarantee it willbe here first thing in the morning. Really really pissed off

But according to the TNT tracking site it's still out for delivery. Hmmmm, d'ya reckon I'll get another one?? ;)

I won't get to play with it until I get home - 2 more hours. Good luck to the folks still waiting, I hope they arrive soon!!

I was really gutted missed my delivery today...
Rang up TNT to re-arange a delivery tomorow...BUT
They said they had to do a 'Late delivery' tonight and will pop mine on the van and bring it to me, yay!!! its coming around 7-8pm :D

Don't count your chickens, i was told.

I guarantee it will be with you between 2-5 sir. Just on van now. Then driver needs sleepy time cos he done a hard day.
 
There are quite a few unhappy people, but like most things this might appear worse than it is, the people who have not recieved it will complain on the forum the people who got it will be playing with it and may not feel any need to post about it.

very true, but that means that almost everyone on here are the people who are still waiting and so probably dont care that much about whats going right, only about when the hell am I going to get my ipod!? lol
 
Not meaning to hijack this thread (I have been posting my delivery status too).

My touch arrived today, screen is good, very thin. I will be posting a video review up on www.geekanoids.co.uk over the next few days, probably Thursday.

But something you might be interested in. I have got a friend to sew me a small pouch, made out of black corduroy. It is not padded or anything, but just something nice and easy to slip the iPod touch into. Nice to use in conjunction with a screen protector.
If anyone in the UK wants one then I can get one to you for £5 delivered. Probably able to send out by Friday (don't forget the postal strike though, so might be Monday). I will try and post some photos tomorrow afternoon. If anyone is interested they can email me their details to geekanoids@gmail.com
 
I'm never going to trust TNT for anything again. When I phoned earlier to check on the status of mine I asked whether I would be likely to get it today or tommorow.

I was told that it was due to be delivered to me today and I would have it before 6PM

Surprise surprise, it's now quarter past 6, and the status hasn't even changed on TNT's site, and I haven't recieved it.

If I don't get it tommorow, then i'll be making a complaint to TNT, and ensuring anything I order is not shipped by them in the future.:mad:
 
Mine was meant to come today, phoned earlier as the tracking said it was still in Leige, and it has been sent to Belfast (I am in Swansea) by mistake :mad:

Said it should come tomorrow.
 
iPOD TOUCH

Mine arrived today at 12:10pm.

Well impressed as I am in Northern Ireland and only ordered my iPod Touch on the 20th September!!

Hope you guys have all received yours, or that they will arrive soon.

Believe me they are worth the wait!!

I have a week 38, it seems to be fine.

First impressions are very good.

And it really is thin and kewl to use.

Phoned the Main helpline - they asked me immediately whether it was an Apple Product I was calling about. They then said they have been logged incorrectly on the system and they aren't delivering them till tomorrow :rolleyes:
