iPod touch UK order status thread

hey. im new to the forum.

I just recieved a phonecall from TNT customer support to say that there was a delay in some of the ipods getting out of china and so they were then too late arriving at the hub in Arnham. They said that they will arrive in the UK tonight and they will be delivered tomorrow.

Not very pleased with TNT but i cant fault the customer service team. they also said that its ok to have it left with a neighbour as long as you leave a note for the courier with your signature on it saying that you are willing for it to be left with them.

I hope it arrives tomorrow. I am out until 12!!! i hope it comes after then.
 
Mines not here yet, was only 15 mins away at the airport at 7ish this morning! Dunno where they are :confused:
 
Q about Prepared for shipment to shipped time

Hi guys - in your experience, how long did your orders sit at "prepared to ship" before dispatch? Thanks.

Mine has been out for delivery from Leeds since 8am and still isn't here!

Could have walked to Leeds and back by now!
 
I'll give it another 10 mins before I leave for work! C'mon PLEASE! :mad: I saw a TNT lorry flash about 5-10 mins ago on the main road...

I rang them. It's in Arnham, I suspect with a lot more, awaiting customs clearance. "Might" arrive in the UK tonight/:mad:tomorrow but in the womans words, who was really helpful, "It has to clear first"

I ordered last friday changed to prepared to Ship On Monday and now on Tuesday its just changed to shipped, so 1 day here.
 
Only a few hours till I can hopefully go and pick it up. :eek:

Last time I went to pick something up after missing the delivery they 'couldn't find it', and I had to wait till the next day.

Great, thats encouraging, and then looking at people's tracking then thats another 5 or 6 days to ship, so hopefully it will be mine in the middle of next week. Thanks all!
 
Just phoned to ask... he wasn't very helpful TBH, at first he tried to say the Chinese depot is on holiday for a week?? Then I told *him* it was already out for delivery and he just said it could be any time between now and 6pm.

DHL definitely had the advantage here when I dealt with them recently, as they actually contacted the driver to find out where he was. No such help from TNT.
 
Mine is still in Arnhem too. TNT must be getting a few calls for people wondering where their iPods are. She said it missed the flight last night or something and should hopefully be delivered tomorrow or at the latest Thursday. So I'm assuming they'll be flying them to the UK tonight.

waiting to speak to a customer service rep - how can they have the thing on the van all day then put it back in the warehouse
 
Spoke to TNT Bristol - apparently they had 200 deliveries from Apple today and did not have enough trucks to get them all out, so mine will be delivered tomorrow.

lol...oh nooooo, looks like after reading above posts this is the situation round here too. It was at the airport at 7.44am and is still not here, 15 mins away, so im thinking they havnt been able to deliver and will come tommorrow. What a waste of time looking out the window! Unless it does come before 6pm
 
Im sick of TNT lieing to me. This morning i was told it was in the UK. At lunch i was told it was still in amsterdam and ive just rang up and they told me i has yet to clear amsterdam and they carnt seem to locate it. So i had to shout at them explain how you dont lose a £250 iPod. She kept saying it will be here tomorrow and then finally decided to sumit something to support. Thought i was already speaking to support:confused:. Waiting for a call back now.

I want to rip the skin off and start using it right now but I must resist until my IS arrives! Already got a few fingerprints where the protector exposes the chrome! :D

not holding out much hope for mine now as its nearly 4pm. I phoned TNT and they said they had loads of deliverys from Apple in City and were doing two runs, they categorically said mine would be delivered between 2-5. But i am not holding out much hope, i reckon it will be tomorrow now

talk about cutting it fine, I fly out to florida for 2 weeks on thursday morning. I dont think hooks have ever been so tender!

What do you think guys, am I going to be able to watch the new prison break and heroes on the plane on my shiny new ipod touch or am I going to be stuck with stuart little 2 on the back of someone's seat?

Just rang up, they said 11th October?! that's is seriously not good news

Ooh… that is going to be tight. If it doesn't get delivered tomorrow hopefully you'll get it before you leave the house on Thursday. But you'll still need to sync stuff to it! I suggest you get it ready. (Unless you have a laptop)
