UK- Post if you have a shipping number

I'm not confident at all...

I think I'll go down to the O2 store here in town (small town, might get stand a chance) and try and get one. If I do the first thing I'll do is ring up O2 and cancel my online order, which still shows as "in progress" even if they are shipping them, the lack of communication is still appalling!
 
Although I did get the "Congratulations" SMS and my tracking number is being recognised by DHL, I'm a little worried that it still doesn't appear to have been picked up by DHL, since tracking is still simply saying "Shipment Data Received 10/07/08". I'm hoping it's just being slow to update or that they can pick it up early today and still get it to me before Saturday, though if it doesn't update soon, methinks a phone call is in order.

Will be might miffed though if i have to wait till 9pm tomorrow night for my phone though, thats 19 and 1/2 hrs yet!! Rubbish!!

Yeah, the DHL tracker doesn't update for hours from past experience. I've had things arrive before it says they are at my delivery depot.

Hi Markleshark

Did you manage to get lucky and get a tracking number? O2 somehow managed to breach Einstein's law of relativity and change the space time continuum so that orders placed after mine were dispatched as it is first come, first served!

I was furious last night, but have got over it and will be heading to my local O2 store very soon. if I don't get one then so be it, and I will have to assess whether I actually want to bother at that point. A complaint letter is being written this afternoon - you never know this may end up being a blessing in disguise if I get something out of it!

Again I am sorry if your not getting a phone today but...

5.25am and my tracking still says "Parcel picked up" at 2.21am on the 10th! and it has not changed since then!

I hope it really is a case of slow updating of the site as by the time DHL opens at 8am I will prob not be able to get a phone in a shop so I am worried although even I admit that its probably uneccessary worrying the fact tracking has not changed for so long is bad!
 
Despite having not officially been picked up from O2, mine just (05:23) arrived at the local depot. Looks like I won't be making that phone call after all.
 
Mine is still o2 - customer location, I just really hope it takes a while to update - could you see any reason for it *not* to be sent out today?

Bah, I do wish they'd update the tracker for me as well. It's most annoying because they are likely at the same place (local depots) by now, but seeing it in words just makes it much better.
 
mine's still stuck on the "picked up from o2" bit....

come on DHL - sort it out!!! Where's me freakin iPhone!
 
Mine still says parcel picked up at 1105 and not much else.

I'm really hoping that it's just the tracker being crap and that it actually somewhat closer to London than that. Not least since it's going to the office so if it doesn't come today, I ain't getting it til Monday.

Then again, I got the 'next working day' email yesterday but no text so who knows! :confused: I just keeping thinking about the last iMac I ordered where the tracker insisted it was in Droitwich Spa even after it was in my living room - that wasn't DHL though.
 
DHL just updated for me, its now "arrived" at my local depot

It sure better go out for delivery today too.... :)
 
mine is still showing as picked up o2 customer location too.

Has anyone in Scotland had their DHL status change yet or are they all still stuck on that lonely truck headed north?:eek:

Yay, mine is out for delivery too. I had to get up now as I heard a knocking on a a door and thought it was the DHL guy. It wasn't but I am well and truly up now.
 
Yay! My iPhone 3G has arrived at the depot. It will surely be delivered today!

Just to say... I had to buy this on a new contract, as o2 screwed me (and most people) over with their truly awful on-line upgrade process on Monday.

At least someone has offered to take my original iPhone off my hands and reimburse me for the remainder of the contract.

Oh, and I didn't actually decide to order an iPhone 3G on a new contract until about 1:30-2:00 PM on the Monday. So clearly, o2 did not respect their 'first come, first served' policy. Not that I'm actually complaining, mind you, but I do certainly feel for some of you in this thread.

Hopefully, Apple won't roll out into any more countries later in the year before the level of stock in the initial 22 countries is reasonable.
 
My current status - " These goods have been loaded onto a van for delivery today."

Doesn't sound like there are that many big queue's out and about, 6 people in Oxford, how dull!
