New Customer, still 'In Progress' Last guy I spoke to said Wednesday or Thursday for status update, so I'm guessing if it's not updated by about this time tomorrow it'll not be arriving on Friday.
 
I also have a shipping number for a 16GB which considering I didn't even get an order number until this morning is amazing!

I do wonder if the 5 emails complaining helped me put here!

I did call o2 a bit earlier as well and the lady I spoke to seemed to think some of us may get the phone tommorrow although personally I think DHL will sit on the deliveries until Friday!

Received all three e-mails but still showing in progress.

Spoke with O2 CS earlier and he said 110% getting one as it has already been boxed up and sitting in the warehouse.

He said that in order to get everything done the orders have been picked yesterday/today and packaged up into shipping boxes with all the labels etc on them. Then he said that they would start scanning the DHL labels into the system which updates the order to Complete and provides the shipping number.

All parcels will then be collected by tomorrow afternoon for delivery on Friday.

Based on this, if they have all the phones packed up and are just scanning them it would explain the randomness of the shipping. They are simply working through a huge pile of boxes and scanning them.

Also I have seen other threads where people have shipping numbers for both 8GB and 16Gb, new customer, iphone upgrades and non-iphone upgrades.

Just have to wait for my tracking number to appear.
 
Same situation for me. Im still showing in progress however i have had the following email...

DHL shipping number 17.30 today

Slightly worrying though is the length of the contract thats shown in My tarrif & services section when I login to my o2 account - about 27 months long - Its says the contract expires 8th October 2010.

Seems like another o2 f**k up. Hopefully they will correct it soon!!.
 
Yeah, been on the phone with O2 again, said they we're doing their up most to get everyones out on friday.

Hopefully they'll scan mine into the system soon, I got a sinking when I saw peoples had started updating but not mine.

I wouldn't be worried.
Do you have 9 months remaining on your existing contract by any chance? (18 + 9 = 27).

It'll just be an error on their part, nothing which a quick phone call won't fix.
 
Ok here is my quick brief tale.

Bought first iphone on day on in November. Love it!

Pre registered everything i could to get the new one.

Monday got caught up in the o2 mess.

25+ codes at last count. Got to the delivery details screen of the flash order forms about three times.

Each time it crashed then at about 2pm using cut&paste link got onto the failpover form and it finally said ok.

At this stage gave up. Have followed everyones stories for two days and this morning when logged on myO2 showed in progress. CS said wait and see and about half an hour ago it turned to complete and am now showing a DHL despatch number. Hooray! But fingers still crossed.

I have received NO emails whatsoever but as a current customer with myO2 why would I?

The wife however is still waiting to see if she is queueing up early on Friday and I will now have to stay in so as not to miss the delivery if indeed it is coming Friday.

So iphone user upgrading to 16gb hopefully Friday.
 
Got the email from o2 today saying mine had been despatched i have a DHL tracking number too (Tho i cant make sense of DHL's Website)

Looks like i maybe lucky and get mine on the 11th.
 
Got my shipping info about an hour ago :D

I got the 8GB Black, ordered at 8:13am and received all 3 emails including one extra for the delivery confirmation.

Possibly getting round to the earlier orders? I hope you guys get yours :)
 
I am upgrading to 16GB black version and received an email that was dispatched at 3pm today.

I ordered yesterday but no idea when as O2 guy thought my 8.15 order was successful even though I didn't get the last page.

Thats the thing though, I have every thing I need to know about delivery etc but my order still says 'In Progress'?

I don't know, O2 are probably just picking at random.
 
Well they did say everyone with an order number is getting one. After all they don't have to ship until tomorrow afternoon to arrive on Friday.

I reckon if you have an order number you are on a winner.

Mine still says in progress. My order completed at 08:50am on the 7th, and I got my first 2 emails within about 10 minutes, and the third about an hour or so later. I would have thought this means I should be one of the earlier ones to be processed, but apparently not! :confused::(
 
Considering the problems with the online ordering on Monday, O2 have probably abandoned their servers lmao XD

Nah with all the demand and everything, I doubt they really want to let anyone down with their orders. I say give it until tomorrow and hopefully most people will have a shipping number :)

Poor DHL lol imagine the shipments! :p

I placed my order with the business 02 shop on Monday around 9.30/10am. Had an order confirmation e-mail with an order number a few hours later.

Rang today and was told that the credit checks for business customers weren't being finished until tomorrow and I couldn't be told anything until tomorrow at 12.30 when I could ring and get an answer about whether or not I was getting an iphone.

I suspect I will be in a queue at CPW on Friday morning.
 
I got my order number during the time I was on my way home from the office. I found out this morning that I was charged on my credit card for the iPhone 3G, but did not have an order number when I checked the last time just before leaving the office at 5.30pm.

My number's on-01111xxxx, which is significantly larger and longer than other people's. I wonder this means I won't be receiving it on Friday. Well... at least I won't have to queue outside when it will probably be raining anyway! dreadful weather, like always.
