Um, why are we still using mouses?

Don't understand why a Touch wouldn't satisfy the OP. If an iPhone is the "greatest mouse ever", a Touch will do the same thing without costing $70/month for the privilege. There are ways to make the back black, also.

I have yet to see any trackpad or trackpoint match even a cheap mouse or trackball for precision.

Roll your finger, don't slide it. And I'm talking about Apple's glass trackpads, only.
