ordered mine around 12pm cst on friday. 8GB. frt still showing backorderd; phone has flipped to 0. the binary dance continues...
 
I made my request at the Eastpointe, MI store at 10:30 on 7/11.....i didnt receive any email, or conformation number or anything like that. She just said that they would let me know when it came in..........how do you view your order status online? I'm at the page, but I dont know what to put in!! Am I screwed here?
 
Okay..... So all the orders at my store is showing in progress and the only thing thats backordered is the freight shipment.
 
Mine says the same thing as the above poster. What does it mean when all the stores orders are 0 backordered but then freight is backordered?

I called customer service and they told me that the store selected shipping thats not available thats why its back ordered.
 
I was the lucky 13th person to do a DF at my ATT store. Numbers 9 and 10 have gotten theirs. Both white 16gb models. The rest are a mix of 8 and 16 gb black ones.

I found out in another thread that you are supposed to take the "order ID" from the receipt and remove the first three letters and 2 numbers. The numbers that remain after that are your order number. How anyone figured this out is beyond me, but it worked for me.

Then on the order status page select order number for the verification method and use the order number for the verification number. For the zip code, enter the zip code of the store where you ordered the phone. Hope this helps.
 
I just found a post in another thread of some website a guy made. It's www.iphone.secretsofawebguru.com

It lets you type in your order # and zip code of the store you ordered from and you can look at a large range of order #s and see when/if they shipped them out. The last order that shipped out from my store is about 60 orders ahead of mine...so looks like I will be waiting for a little while. My status is currently backordered on all 3 iPhones. I ordered 2 8GB and one black 16GB on Monday evening.
 
Okay, as a recap:

Ordered 2 16GB WHITE, Sunday, July 13th.

One of the iPhones will arrive TODAY by 3PM.

So that's 5 days.

The second phone, however, is still back-ordered.

No rhyme.

No reason.
 
Another Post said the WHITE ship Faster! Which is the one I wanted. Ordered 2 This Morning! 5-7 days too Patientlenryksna (cant spell patientltyefdfaNS) :( Cuz Im NOT!
 
Ordered 16GB White in Corona, CA on Wednesday around 11. Got Fedex tracking this morning and in enroute to the store today or tomorrow.
 
Is it fair to say that the white phone's are shipping the fastest, followed by the black 16 gb, and the 8 gb is the most back ordered?
 
The 1st, 5th, and 6th people in the queue at my Lutherville, MD location had their iPhones ship last night. 2nd-4th and 7th-10th (myself being 10th, apparently) are still backordered.
 
Ordered White 16 gig and Black 16 gig at 7:30pm EST on July 11 -

Received White 16 Gig on Wednesday
Received Black 16 Gig on Thursday
 
Does anyone know if there's any rhyme or reason to when these get shipped out? I've noticed that some people who ordered later are getting their phones earlier than others at different locations.
 
Good news for all...

I ordered my white 16 babe on Tuesday morning. It had absolutely no change in status until this morning. It now says shipped, with a tracking number. The tracking number shows that it went out yesterday on standard overnight. I didn't pay a dime for overnight and that it is at the store right now!!!! Hang in there they are coming....!!!!!
 
As a future ATT customer they are not impressing me one damn bit.

I would've gone to an Apple store had I been an ATT customer already.

Ridiculous
 
i ordered a 16GB white this past wednesday about 2PM.

its on a fedex truck for delivery this AM. less than 48 hours from order to delivery. very unexpected.

i feel horrible for your guys still waiting. (not being sarcastic).
 
I DFd a 16GB Black at 10:21am CST at the AT&T store in Madison, WI Using the handy checker app I got he following screenshot of status:

I didn't go beyond my order number, it appears 4 of the 7 orders in front of me have shipped so hopefully I'm not too far off!
 
i just used that program 'iphoneorderstatus'? and i'm pretty pissed right now..lol

I ordered 7/17 and people after me have had their phones shipped to them

Also, there are about 20+ in front of me :mad:
