599 is too high.
499 would be nice.
Wooo, a whopping $100 less. Sorry folks, but that's not much of a difference. Now $599 vs. $199, now you're talking.
599 is too high.
499 would be nice.
Then what is it for?
Largest internal drive so far is 320GB. But of course FireWire800 and USB2 can easily expand on that.
How are the new mac minis worse value than before? the price is the same. They include the mini dvi to dvi adapter so you do not have to buy that.
No Remote, and VGA users now need to purchase an adapter too.

i think the price should be $499 and should include the apple keyboard and mouse. but who knows if that will ever happen
exactly, the keyboard/mouse combo is $100, that's ridiculous apple doesn't include on the mini, imo. even at $599 i can live with that if it already had the kb/mouse.i think the price should be $499 and should include the apple keyboard and mouse. but who knows if that will ever happen

yeah... and there is no betamax video port .
VGA adapters cost close to nothing.
So the 20$ remote is bugging you that much that you'd rather be stuck with a slower processor, slower RAM, a crappy GPU, smaller HD ?
I think that 20$ "price increase" was worth it...
Since the original G4, Mac Mini has been DVI and VGA friendly right out of the box. Now it isn't. No big deal for me, but it may be an inconvenience and an added expense for someone else, simple as.
Prices have shot up more than 25% over the former model in certain territories.
Newbie question; is the 128 mb graphic card on the lower model a real difference to consider compared to the 256 mb card?
They're not 128MB or 256MB cards, they're the very same 9400m onboard chip that either reserves 128 MB of your main memory if you have 1GB, or 256MB if you have more than that. Just like in the previous Mini, the video adapter does NOT have its own memory. But it is an incomparably better graphics chip and the memory is also considerably faster, so it's still a huge improvement.
And if you buy a low end Mini and upgrade it to more than 1GB then it will automatically start to use 256MB for its video memory as well.
I see now, thank you. The so called high end mini shoud have the 2,26 ghz processor standard to be called high end really.

I think it should be 199$ and come with an offer for free expressos for a year at Starbucks.
I'm not disagreeing with you as I don't have a clue with this either way but it is listed on the Apple site as being 128MB & 256MB respectively(see screencap below)
So wait, you're saying Apple should've absorbed the cost of the weakening currencies around the world, and maybe in some cases, even lose money to sell the product in a particular region ?
