I just thought I would post some photos of my new Macbook that I just got from http://www.colorwarepc.com The computer is painted Envy Green and the paint job is perfect. I posted a while back my new iPhone done by Colorware because I felt that other than the website I was not finding any real world photos on the internet. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=429376 So here is the unboxing process and pictures of my old Macbook next to the new one. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask and I will try to respond.
I like green-- it look great! Do the always leave the keyboard white? or can you get that painted a different color?
I'm not a real fan of the green, I really wouldve gotten the racecar red or the cobalt, but still, that is pretty sweet.
I'll second the cobalt, but that is one sweet looking MB. It'll definitely turn some heads. Very sharp.
how does it feel? does it still retain the origional macbook feel? u know. smooth..plastic-y.. or is it rough cause of the paint
The keyboard and trackpad make it look cheap and childish IMO. If they matched it would definitely look better. But nice job none-the-less and congrats on the new MB.
They can change your keyboard and mousepad According to their site, you can opt to have your keyboard and mousepad changed to black for free. sounds good to me... now only if i had $550+
!!!!! $550 to paint a notebook that already cost over a grand? I guess some ppl have way more disposable income than the rest of us.
you're completely right, i didn't notice it until i went and clicked "buy". Either way, thats an awesome macbook and I personally would've went for the blackbook so that the entire inside was black and outside envy green have fun with it and congrats.
According to the Colorware website they cover the product for 1 year because the custom process voids the Apple warranty. I have heard that Apple will still cover the product from some reviews since they did not change the internal components. I guess I will hope for the best.
Congrads man.. I miss my MacBook more now Anyways.. green is not really my color.. but Mac is my computer!! So enjoy.. congrads once more.
Wow - fancy schmancy! I'll be curious to know how the paint job holds up to scratches... Looks great though - I love the green!
The green looks pretty cool. Did you buy a new one directly from them or did you send yours in? Did you get the regular apple macbook box?
