That's correct but, after the installation is completed, you can enable the M1 version from Acrobat Reader preferences.
I don't know why they did it this way.

It’s just a shame that a company as large as Adobe has to do it this way…

They probably wanted to rush out a Universal app, but didn't want to wait on porting the installers and plug-ins as Universal apps. I'm sure with time they will eventually port (they'll have to), but I think they should have delayed the release to make everything Universal instead of just the app.

I'm glad it's finally Universal though. Is Creative Cloud Universal? I haven't even checked to see.
EDIT: Just checked. Creative Cloud is Universal.

I know I’m whining but what the heck! Teams are not AS native / universal and either are Horizon client.
Im kind of irritated that they never do it

Anyone think there will be any interesting surprises with the new macbooks?

Seems like other than performance they likely will be pretty boring and just reverting to 2015 style.

At this point I'm not even sure we'll get wi-fi 6e since the latest iPhones didn't get it. Not sure how good mini-LED is.

Other than that I think laptops are pretty boring. Only thing that would be cool is if they maybe bumped default storage to 1tb instead of 512gb (at least for 16"), but just highly doubt it.

They will never revert back to 2015 design or the ports and all of that. That would mean going backwards for apple, and they won't do it. Best we will get is bigger screens, storage adjustments and improved CPU! IMHO.
 
So let’s see the following softwares is still not updated of the softwares that I’m using.
  • one drive
  • Microsoft teams
  • VMware Horizon Client
  • Skype (don’t think it will update)
  • Powershell

I'm saying they already are. The suspected M1X macbooks are dropping the touchbar and adding more ports back in based on rumors.

And how many of those rumours turned out to be true lately? Rumours are just to generate hype for you-tubers, clicks and ad dollars, that's all. I guess we will have to wait and see, but judging by rumours on a AOD for iPhone, and other stuff, i wouldn't hold my breath. Although a dedicated USB A port would be nice 😀

This is true apple will not ditch the touchbar or add more ports. A big maybe in hdmi and if they add it it’s only because that’s the only way to have two displays connected like with the Mac mini m1
