Only $20 though. Besides, they will add expansion packs and such for more content later.

Sony REALLY wants to give the finger to EB I suppose.

Plus the tracks are reversible so thats like another(cheap) way of saying 16 tracks:)....1080p 60FPS @ $20.00 you can't beat that.

Note: Silent Hill Homecoming on the 30th...yayyy!

I completely agree. Which is why I went out and bought Pulse and Pure on the PSP, ever driven a car with banana peels for tyres on ice? Almost uncontrollable if you've played any other speed racer.
Something about rose tinted glasses I think.

I tried the Wipeout on the PSP at launch and didn't particularly like the controls. I recall something weird about having to switch between the d-pad and analog stick to steer and strafe, or am I remembering this wrong?

Wouldn't 1600p 80fps @ $19.99 beat it?

Huh? Uhhh.. that sounds like the Ratchet and Clank controls :p. Otherwise I didn't know you could. I just used the stick and L and R for steering.

It's been years, but I recall having to move my thumb back and forth between the d-pad and analog stick. It was jacked up.

Definitely wasn't Ratchet and Clank. I tried one of the display demos and it was easy. :]

Yeah, you're remembering it wrong. Normal steering is accomplished using either the d-pad or the analogue stick. Side slipping (Wipeout is not an FPS, so we don't strafe) uses double-taps on the appropriate airbrake via the trigger buttons. If you actually play it with a little determination, it becomes second nature.

The game's out now and it's awesome. It brings a tear of nostalgia to my jaded eye.

Ok, I said I didn't really mind if I didn't get into the beta for LBP but.... attempting as hard as I can to get a GameSpot one. Freaking out here...

Okay I added a bunch of scores (including a disappointing score for Samba de Amigo Wii) and added Legendary and Quantum of Solace to the list.

September was a good month, sure there were a handful of disappointing and games that didn't deliver as they should have (Spore, Mercenaries 2, etc) but it's still not over, Silent Hill and Sacred 2 will be released on September 30.

Dam your accuracy and use of nerd-terms!! :)

I'm hoping one of my PS3 friends picks this game up, because I'd love to play it.

Out of the good games, which ones did you buy and beat?

I only bought Pure, Crysis Warhead and Spore though I've only beaten Spore out of those so far. Pure and Crysis Warhead did not disappoint me at all though (Spore did a little), Pure is pure fun (pun intended) and Crysis Warhead is a refined version of Crysis with new levels so it's awesome.

I played some of the other games like Mercenaries 2 but they either disappointed me or they are on a console I don't own

There's been quite a few quality releases on the DS lately, Sonic Chronicles looks decent and Kirby Super Star Ultra, although a remake, is probably the best Kirby platformer ever, not to mention Dragon Quest IV, Viva Pinata, Disgaea, Lock's Quest and others.

Oh yes, I don't care much for Pinata or Disgaea but if that Kirby game is the best one ever then damn. I love a good Kirby game, even the lesser rated ones like that Mirror one and Canvas Curse. That should pull me away from Pokemon for a bit.

Might skip out on Sonic though. I know it's got an RPG pedigree company behind it but it's Sonic. Sonic + story do not mix.

Updated scores, revised Sacred 2's release date (November 1), added Silent Hill Homecoming (72), Sim City Creator (61), and Line Rider 2, also Warhammer went down from blue status to green status. Also added a new feature, statistics for each month, check september's below or in the main post.

Stats for September:
Average Score: 77 (23 games)
Blue games: 1 (360/PS3/Wii: 1)
Green games: 13 (360: 5, PS3: 4, Wii: 3, PC: 8)
Orange games: 8 (360: 4, PS3: 3, Wii: 4, PC: 3)
Red games: 1 (360/PS3/Wii: 1)
Average 360: 76 (11 games)
Average PS3: 76 (9 games)
Average Wii: 72 (9 games) (Worst Reviewed)
Average PC: 80 (10 games) (Best Reviewed)
Best reviewed game: Rock Band 2 (360/PS3/Wii) (93)
Worst reviewed game: Facebreaker (360/PS3/Wii) (52)

Statistically speaking, the PC had a tad better month than the rest :)

Kirby has been tons of fun, this one is top notch, and having never played the SNES one, its all new to me

That's good to hear :) my order just dispatched this morning and I've only heard good things about this game (other than it being too easy, but WTF it's Kirby. Suppose the next GTA game will have violence?). Can't wait!
One little question though - are all them 16 games fully fleshed out Kirby platform games, or are there just a few platform games and the rest minigames?

Its a great list.
No more heroes 2, wii sports resort, Castlevania Judgment these are also hot games.

Speaking of Castlevania, i'm SOOOOO looking forward to the new DS game. :)

Me too, it's one of my most expected games on all platforms, it's not only a new Castlevania (which all by itself is reason enough to get the game) but the videos and screenshots look pretty juicy.

October is going to be a crazy month. ;)

Well I got Wario Land and it is good just too short. The game isn't gimmicky and its fun. I expected Silent Hill to get around the 70-79 range although its a good entry into the series but I swear if they give RE5 100% and call it scary(IGN I'm looking at)

Don't let "professional"reviews make the final decision on a game because look at what Wario Land & Silent Hill got and check the user reviews for these games.
