They’d have to create a custom keyboard cover for the mini, and I wonder just how comfortable it would be to type on a keyboard cover small enough for the mini. Now I absolutely loved my 1st gen iPad Pro and the keyboard cover for it, but the mini sounds like a keyboard cover might be small enough to be difficult to touch type on (or would need multiple fn layers).Wishlist for an updated Mini 7:
ProMotion would be nice, but not a dealbreaker for me. I'd much rather have double the storage.
- A16
- Significantly smaller bezels and more rounded frame edges, generally smaller/lighter. My Mini 5 was perfect as far as size/shape/weight (other than the screen size).
- WiFi 6E
- Updated cameras
- 128GB minimum storage
- Some kind of landscape-oriented smart connector to be usable with its own first-party keyboard attachment/case. The biggest downside for the mini for me has always been its reliance on bluetooth keyboards. Probably would be too small for a trackpad, but even just being able to type on real keys would make it immensely more useful for productivity tasks.
