Just got off the phone again. Again promised that the Attention status should change after 8-12 hours. Seriously doubt it will.

It's been 5 days of being Attention: Verify Credit Card after AMEX flagged the AT&T charge as fraudulent, and every business day I've called and been told the exact same song and dance. I mentioned that people who ordered through Premier had already received shipping notices and she got incredibly confused.

I do think it's funny that American Express had AT&T Premier listed as a frequent fraud abuser. Means there must be a lot of people disputing charges with them over the past few years.

AMEX claims there was nothing wrong with any of my billing info, it's just that they've received a lot of complaints for accidental charges by AT&T Premier.
 
Just got off the phone with AT&T Premier service.

They told me the reason my order was in "Attention" status was because I had ordered two new phones the same line. This is completely false, as I clearly ordered a second line of service, but for some reason the two new phones were processed as being for a single line.

The customer service rep admitted that this was most likely a system error that caused this problem. The only way to get my order out of "Attention" status was to cancel the second phone/order. Once this action was taken, I refreshed my order screen, and the second order for my wife's phone was immediately canceled, as if the guy had hit a button and the action was immediately applied.

However, my order for my already established line of service, was still in "Attention" mode, and it still is. I asked the rep why that was, and he said the "Attention Mode" would be removed within the next 6-12 hours. I may check again around noontime, and if it's still there, I'll call them back. But honestly I don't really care anymore.

As far as shipping goes, the customer service rep told me that "they were told that they'd be receiving the device on the 24th, and they would be shipped out and could be received by the 25th."

I wish I could give such ambiguous answers at my job, but that wouldn't fly for me. Regardless, not much I can do, and I'll be adding my second line to my account through Apple, not AT&T. As far as I'm concerned, this is literally the worst purchasing experience I've had in my life. What a cluster**** that shines badly on both AT&T .. AND Apple.

*Update* Added my canceled e-mail notification that is worded as if my whole order has been canceled, when in reality, one component of the order has been canceled -- the second phone.
This is EXACTLY the situation that I'm in, only I haven't had the "happy ending" that you've seemingly gotten yet. (And AT&T made it seem like it was my fault that the two Iphones were on the same line. It's THEIR system, why can't it pick up these problems BEFORE the order is placed?!) I'm going to have to call and find out why I haven't gotten further than I have so far - I was told that one was going to cancel, at least, and nothing has happened so far - both are still sitting at "attention" status.
 
My status changed this morning to SHIPPED and i got the email from PREMIER.
I ordered around 3AM PST.
 
OK, I finally got through and got a helpful person. She processed my order while I was on the phone and my attention flag cleared about 5 min later. Hopefully mine shows up in the real order system soon and gets shipped. She said its marked to ship on the 24th but they were trying to get them to ship a day early, for what that's worth.

Same here and my order date was posted on the 15th. Called the cust rep and was told that it's processing and they do not have any futher information about the order. great.. dont know if it's backorder, delayed, on hold, or whatever..
 
Oh my god, AT&T are idiots. Since late friday night (after the call center closed) my call status has been "We need more information to process your order" - something the regular AT&T rep couldn't help me with over the weekend. So I finally call and after about 35 minutes on hold, she says "It looks like they haven't made a decision on your credit yet because we need more information from you, let me put you on hold while i get with our credit department to figure this out."

so I wait on hold another 10 minutes. She gets back on the line.

"OK, it looks like we approved your account for the two phones with a 0 dollar deposit, so I'll get your order pushed through for priority processing...and that will ship out on the 24th or 25th, but we'll e-mail you to let you know for sure."



um. I had to call you and wait 30 minutes so you could get NO further information from me and tell me that my credit was approved? Thanks geniuses...

That was my experience last Thursday except I was on the phone with them for THREE AND A HALF HOURS only for them to finally tell me there was nothing wrong an the ATTENTION! status was cleared. :mad:
 
90 minutes trying to get through (seriously, AT&T, can't you tell us before we put in the long, LONG order number that all your reps are busy and we need to call back?!) I finally got someone. Don't believe the online status. Mine's been "attention!" all weekend but it is actually how I hoped it would be - one cancelled, one will be on the way. Not the best situation, obviously, and it appears the one will arrive Friday, not Thursday, but WHATEVER. I'm just happy the thing is actually going to arrive in some semblance of time.

I ordered Jun 15th about 8:30AM CDT. Received confirmation mail with activation numbers and such. Have had status of attention! since then. Contacted them, apparently I fat-fingered my credit card number. Corrected that, premier support said it should be shipping out and delivered by the 24th/25th.

Nice to know if I hadn't called they wouldn't have bothered to contact me to get my order straightened out. Status still showing attention!, hopefully it will change soon.
 
Although my order status page still says "Attention!", when I called just a moment ago the automated message says my order is in process and should be completed with 1 business day.

Maybe I can stop freaking out. Good Luck to everyone trying to get through to talk to a Premier rep!

my order was cancelled (AT&T error) and I called and the rep said she fixed it while i was on the phone. online status still shows cancelled, but if i call and enter the order number it says "processing, should be completed within 1 business day..."

no, it could be anything really that would hold back the processing of your iPhone.

I've incorrect CC #s, porting of your old phone number and other various situations.

This is what drives me crazy. Every single rep I've talked to says that getting out of a credit-card-attention status takes 12 hours, and every promise of it working since last Thursday hasn't worked at all.

Yet you got yours corrected and the Premier status updated almost immediately.

I dealt with some absolute idiots today regarding my 'Attention' status. Lots of ums, uhs and 'oh, you're right's. However, when I FINALLY was able to talk to a Premier rep he was great. He got things sorted out for me; made sure the phone number was correct for the port, made sure I still wanted to use the same CC for payment (CC now has the pending charge for the phone as well) and confirmed the shipping address. After I got off the phone with him, my status had changed back to 'Processing' and FINALLY shows up under the regular AT&T order status site. No tracking number at last check, but I was assured the phone would still arrive on the 24th. Good news there since I was getting very, very worried.

I called last week and she said it would be put through processing again. Nothing happened all weekend. Called about 9am or so was put on hold a couple times while she worked on things and came back to verify what model i was getting, my address etc then finally said, ok order is complete. I refreshed the page and it was still attention. About 5 min or so later after hanging up I refreshed and it was cleared. Maybe 20 or 30 min later it was in the regular order system.

Worried again...

I have called the CS number and the automated message says that my order is processing... BUT the website still has "Attention!" and my order is NOT on the regular att website. Maybe people (or computers) working tonight will clear it, maybe not. I may end up at an AT&T store tomorrow instead of sitting on the phone again all morning. Maybe they'll get it fixed up once they realize my 2 kids don't sit still very long. ;)

I just don't see how I'll get my phone at the same time as all these other people who have received tracking numbers, and I ordered at 715am EDT!

PLEASE PLEASE AT&T fix this overnight! :eek:
 
Almost my identical experience once I got a hold of a premier rep this morning

So was it just luck of the draw? What's the difference between a Premier rep and the people who usually answer the phone?

Every single time I call (6 times total now) I've been given the exact same story, and the wait-12-hours speech, and every single time it hasn't gone through. Still at Attention since Thursday, still nothing showing up in regular Wireless status, and still no idea what to do.

I've had CSRs who sound knowledgable, and CSRs who sound like idiots ... but every single one of them says the same thing.

Did you ask for a superior and stay on the line?

I have the same message and I have called both ATT and the Premier accounts number, and I am not getting anywhere on my order status.

For what it's worth, my "Attention" status just cleared. I'm now back to "Processing." This is after 5 days with "Attention" and two phone calls to Premier support.

Still no credit card charges / tracking numbers / info on the main AT&T order site, but that annoying exclamation point is gone.
 
Yay! "processing" status since last Friday, today changed to "Shipped"!

Also with Fedex tracking number, which states that it will be delivered tomorrow!


Finally!....:D
