Installed 2021-001 + Safari 14.0.3, no problems with my MBA early 2015.

Just did the zero day Mojave 10.14.6 update on my Mac Pro 5.1 now my midi is gone (usb). All the midi in my audio midi set up is greyed out. No Midi in protools Ableton or cubase. Been at this for a few hours it seems to be a apple bug. Anyone else have it?

update
I had the keyboard going into a multi usb box. Guess it doesn't like it. working now on direct usb input.
Hey is this still causing issues? I have quite a few midi devices and don't wanna apply the update if it has a lasting effect on those

I'm experiencing a little audio problem since this update (not fixed with the last security update).

I noticed that everytime I start any audio (change sound effects in system pref, open audio app, open an website with audio contents, play youtube, soundcloud ecc...) I can hear little crackle sound before the audio starts (not during the audio) and after some seconds the audio stops.

Tried different headphones, killing the audiocore, ... but nothing changed.

I'm on MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)

Mojave 10.14.6

Wow, I thought Catalina was the earliest OS supported on the 16 inch, makes me think it could be a good buy down the road
Catalina is the oldest OS the 16" can run. That garbled image on the screen looks to be the Catalina default desktop picture.

I haven't seen any new problems with 2021-002, but as with all the previous security updates for Mojave it did reset my primary non-admin user's password on the next reboot after installation was complete.

I have this too, also on Mojave. Do you by any chance have the Background Music app installed? I did and uninstalled it but I wonder if Mojave is the cause.

Many problems for me on my iMac i7 1TB Fusion drive. Shortly after the update Mac started to be sluggish so I restarted. Greeted by the prohibit on dark screen (circle crossed with a line). Fortunately I make a backup every night and was able to reboot from another drive. Took many hours: tried to recover and reinstall Mojave: no Go. I ended up bringing back the previous day backup but I still had problems booting the computer going to a kernel panic. Suspected my Fusion drive was faulty since a prohibit icon is often sign it cannot find a bootable drive. I read here the update change the BootRom which might explain it probably corrupted something on the Fusion drive. But this morning after trying to boot again, everything is back to normal; I guess some kind of error status cleared after a while and my backup recover worked after all. Conclusion: avoid this update if you have a Fusion Drive.

Installed 2021-001 yesterday on a 2018 mini: video cutting out, getting "Disk Not Ejected Properly" on all 4 T-Bolt drives even though drives were not ejected. Seems the T-Bolt bus is unstable.

Installed 2021-002 today: video appears fixed, still getting "Disk Not Ejected Properly" on all 4 T-Bolt drives even though drives were not ejected.

Yes, all cables are in tight.

Maybe there will be another update tomorrow fixing the disk ejected message.

Another reason why I no longer bother updating MacOS.

After doing a full backup, I went ahead and installed the 2021-002 update last night. It installed a bit quicker than the previous one. Everything seems to be running fine today🤞
(2017 27" iMac)

The End:
Issue appears to have been caused by a USB-A to USB-C adapter I recently plugged into a hub to help transition to USB-C. Pulled it out and all seems fine.

As I recall, Apple does recommend disconnecting all USB devices before updating. Looks like not doing so may have finally caught up with me.

Next Day:
mini is unresponsive. No video, no BT, assume no drives/Thunderbolt.

I'm glad this was to be my last Mac in 36 years of using them. Will roll back to last clone later.

Same here. I always unplug any external drives prior to doing a Security Update. After the update my 2017 i5 iMac booted into the login screen frozen solid. I waited 10min just to make sure it wasn’t going to restart again. Rebooted, same deal.

Thought about it for a few and unplugged a USB Hub that I had never done before as I rarely use it.

Rebooted, screen came up, logged in end of story. Don’t really understand why this made a difference as nothing was connected to it?
