Issues on 4,1 -> 5,1 cheese grater WITH RESOLUTION

Hi everyone,

after installing this patch, I couldn't reboot at all. Kernel panics.
Safe mode wouldn't work, only single user.

I uninstalled OC, to no avail, so I reinstalled Mojave twice. Nothing.

I decided to film the screen in slow motion during verbose boot and found out it was crashing after 80211 driver loading. After removing the original factory airport card from the Mac, it booted fine.

Very cool idea!

The App Store download issue seems to be fixed.....:)
Must have been a problem at Apples end.

I just can't believe when these updates come out and people report that they have fixed things, I'm jealous. The 2020-007, 2021-001/2 trashed my MBP last night. And my MP 3,1 is dying a very slow death. All after the 2020-005/6 and Safari debacle. I just can't get it back to good ol' smoothness. It's as if "They who shall not be named" threw a Trojan in the mix. On I trudge . . .

verbose boot
During installation of Mojave Security Update 2021-002 on a MBP 2019 15", booted from an external USB-C HDD, the prohibitory sign always showed up during restart/installation. Several reboots, even in Safe Mode, didn't help to get further. A verbose boot with Command + V finally could finish the outstanding part of the installation and lead the boot process to success. Once on macOS 10.14.6 (18G8022) and another verbose boot the boot process seems to go back to normal.
