Won't let me wipe. Have restored from backup but shows in itunes as on 8.01. If I click the Restore iPhone button nothing happens. Bloody hell. I'm flying out on a 10 day trip tomorrow!! This is all I need. Still at least it's still flat!!

Apparently Samsung sent a undercover agent to Apple to release iOS 8.0.1 as a virus and death to all iPhones.

FML. Updated to iOS 8.0.1 thinking it would fix all the issues I am having such as laggy emails as I use my phone heavily for work and now I don't have any cellular connection and I am working! Wtf Apple, never had so many issues until I got the iPhone 6 and iOS8. Need my phone for work! Come on Apple, missing important calls and been sitting on live chat for 15 minutes with no one to talk to yet.

If its a software bug, then it should break for everyone on every carrier in every country. But from the reports here, there are many people who are reporting no problems whatsoever. So, how about looking into what those people are doing right or conversely, what is wrong with the carrier/ settings environment on the phones that are reporting problems?

Definitely, as long as you're good with losing anything that you've done since the backup was taken.

not a problem. haven't done much since then. thinking of going across the street to starbucks and trying it (no wifi at work for personal use), but it sounds like some are having trouble wiping the phone.

Looks like they pulled the update

OK, recovery mode works. Mine just reverted back to 8.0 and carrier signal restored. What a bloody joke!! Just make sure to back up first before putting into recovery mode.

You can't just restore from an iCloud backup; that doesn't downgrade you from 8.0.1 back to 8.0. You have to do it via iTunes.

You can't do it from iTunes either unless you go into recovery mode. Clicking the Restore button does nothing!!

The apple servers are crawling right now, trying to download the iPhone 6 8.0 image to restore via iTunes...
