There is still no information on whether or not it has cleared customs yet.... if it hasn't, it won't be loaded on to the delivery truck.

So they have the new MacBooks on stock now? I saw some guy walking down a street near my house yesterday with what looked like a new MacBook box ... :mad: ... Next time I'll definitely buy it there since they can customized it on the spot ...

So I had to order mine..... you know, to get the best.

hah, in Vancouver? Could've been me. They had everything new in stock EXCEPT for the stupid display port to DVI adapters. I hope Mac Station will have them today or the store will have it in stock now.

I think the board only supports 4GB max. Might be wrong about that though.

BTW: I'm in Toronto, and I've never heard of Mount Hope (Sorry to all Mount Hopers in the house). On fact, all FedEx/UPS deliveries always came to Mississauga for me, including the white MB I ordered last week. True that was a refurb from Cali, but I've had other stuff from China.

I was supposed to get mine today but it decided to go backwards :( Now, no delivery date and status of "exception"! Damn this cheap ass company. First time I use them they leave a 1.5K$ "Signature Required" package at the door step of a 28 apartment building. Now they can't even give me a date on the phone.

anyone know why apple decided to switch to F....ing UPS? I remember they used to use FedEx what happened???

Hah, yup, the same...

And that is what I did. London Drugs has a brilliant little 2.5" external case for like $20, I didn't even have to order one... it comes with a carrying case and is barely bigger than the drive itself. My MBP's drive is now in the external case for backup and I put the 7200 RPM in myself. It is super simple with the new case design.
 
yeah see my plan is to do that when a 7200 500gig drive is released so that I have two 7200rpm drives, but if I had known that UPS was going to suck so bad I would have just done it your way. Oh well live an learn I guess.

Yea 500 GB on board does sound appealing... not a bad plan; you won't remember how long these days seemed once you've had it a while.

I wrote yesterday to make check on my delivery date and they answered today saying it won't be here till tommorow :mad: Really annoying given that they said I was supposed to get it on the 22, then the 23, then the 22 and now the 24. It's even just a 2.5 hour drive from where I live.:confused:

UPS is A joke!!!

As you can see from the post above, my MBP is not comming till the 24. But guess what, it's here!!!!!!!:D Go figure. My tracking info even says it is still 2.5 hours away. Hope you guys get your soon too.

Heres mine.. At first it stated to arrive Monday..now it does not show any DELIVERY DATE after it has landed in Louisville..

Yep... I got mine as well.

My old Macbook Pro all of a sudden just doesn't look as good next to this new one. It's amazing.... just yesterday I thought my Macbook Pro was the best looking laptap that I've ever seen.

The black (bezel, keyboard) is really sharp.... and the unibody enclosure looks really thick and solid (look at it by the USB ports - it's thick). The speakers are louder as well - not sure about the glossy screen, it's bright (LED).

Is yours to Vancouver as well?

I hope ours dont go thru MOUNT HOPE --> Winnipeg --> Calgary
then come into Vancouver or else big chance it will have to be MONDAY :mad:

WTF..I just called UPS and they said it is scheduled for TUES?!?!?
But according to the previous recepients like cosmokanga2, they got it 1-2 day after Louisville.
 
man if it's here on Tues I'm gonna be pissed. Yeah I'm in Vancouver. On the apple site it said 21st-24th. I'm so mad at UPS. 2 weeks after I ordered it WTF
