Based on the several publicized accounts of this same story, I believe iJustine. It's a shame that there are people so shady to think they have the right to something you worked hard for. Oh wait, I forgot I pay 35% of my earnings to federal income tax and 150 Million people in this country don't pay any income tax.

35%. u must be rich :D haha jk i agree with you 100%

That's the problem with people. Why do AT&T need to compensate for anything? Did they empty the box? Maybe it was stolen by UPS. Or maybe before it got to AT&T, does AT&T open the boxes and put in the sim card?

Did I ever say ATT should compensate him? That's the problem with people. Always jumping to conclusions.

UPS in a way should compensate him, it's called GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. A phone is a very valuable device, you order it and expect it to be there when told it will arrive. Yeah, things happen and it may not be deliver on time, but clearly the phone was stolen. Empty box. If your a business person being without a phone for a few days or weeks is very troublesome.

For the hours that the OP had to be on the phone to get the problem resolved, lost time from using new iPhone, stress, etc... I think there should be some form of compensation in addition to just problem resolution.

Sorry, that's not the way the world works. Sometimes things don't go your way, you can't always expect someone to hand you a check for inconveniences in life. Get used to it.

No, UPS needs to comensate the shipper. This is how all shipping works. The shipper then compensates the customer (in this case AT&T has done so....AT&T & Apple being the "shippers" since they are partners in the sale)
