I had my two routed to the local customer center and picked them up this morning. Feel bad though, I didn't know the charge cable was going to ship today so the guys still has to come by and drop the cable off. I would have picked it up while I was there but didn't plan ahead for that.

Good luck to those still waiting and watching.

I changed it to the UPS Store two days ago, and they just change the information this morning, now it said " in tranit to access point", sometimes when i refresh it said "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later. and sometimes it will say "Scheduled Delivery Updated To:
Monday, 04/27/2015"

Feeling so happy, finally got my package. Good Job, UPS
First, they did put the package to the truck for delivery to the UPS Store, but they put it in the wrong truck, and that UPS guy knows that is from Apple, so he called the hub center and try to contact me. So I end up meeting the UPS guy at a hospital dock to get my package.

My day: I started out today going to my UPS Store (should have held at a CC, yeah I know) only to find it never made it there. So I decided to make the best of my day off and went to the gym. Then, feeling plucky, I went to the UPS CC which was the last known location. They said it was at another CC because theirs "doesn't service my zip code." Undeterred, I drove 50 minutes to the other side of town to that CC, where a very helpful employee spent 15 minutes looking for my package. Eventually they found it... At the first CC I visited. Well, after another 10 minutes of them waiting for someone at the first CC.

Anyway, I have 3 hours to get back there and I can have my watch tonight. Yay? Maybe...

Some people at UPS are great, some are lazy bums. No surprise there. Even if I don't get my watch, I'm at least very grateful for those employees who went the extra mile for me. Any way I can put it a good word for them?

Edit: Got it. Please, all Apple Watch buyers with future orders have them hold it at Customer Centers, NOT UPS Stores. You might get lucky, but you might not.

So when did everybody show up, how many people were there to pickup as well, and how soon after they opened did you get your watch? Thanks.

I got there a few minutes before UPS opened at 10 am and there was one other guy also waiting to get his Watch.

If I request for it to be held for pickup at my hub, will it say which hub when i call. When I order things it mostly goes to my local hub which is only a few minutes away. However, sometimes it goes to one in the next county. How can i be sure it goes to the correct hub? Am i making sense. :p

You pick which hub it goes to. If you go to the website it will pull up all the UPS Stores and the Customer Center closest to your address. The customer center might be a few pages down - just make sure it says -CC next to it. It should also be a different color than the other options (mine was gray).

If in doubt at all just call customer service and they can do it for you.

Licking either hub shouldn't delay delivery.

I did hold for pick up in van nuys ca for at the cc because that was the closest cc to sherman oaks and the only one it let me select but it says my watch is in slyer california now at the cc. When i tried to find that cc on the hold for pick up it does not show up. how do i that it is all set up for my pick up in the morning. do they transfer shipments from slyer to the different cc's before they go out for delivery in the corresponding neighborhoods?

Yes, you should be good

so even though its in sylmar it will get to van nuys in morning? how do i know if slymar wasn't the final shipping point. It's only 15 miles away but the van nuys customer center is 5 miles away. Do they dispatch from your closest cc usually?

Just called to have it held at my hub and confirmed the correct one.
My question is this, if it arrives this afternoon, can I pick up or do I have to wait till tomorrow? How will I know they went through all the packages and sorted it out?

It'll say in the tracking when it's ready for pick up. You can also set up email and text alerts in the settings somewhere.

If your delivery date is tomorrow then you can't pick it up at the customer counter today. They won't even crack that truck until the morning unload at 2am.

well that stinks. I guess i'll wait :p

Sucks when you're waiting, I know. Rule of thumb for us is any shipment we receive after 10-11am is going to be processed next day with the exception of critical packages.

Another is that you can't get the package before the promised delivery date. When you move the volume we do, you have to have some semblance of logistics to get it all where it's got to go on time.

My watch arrived at the main hub in AZ in Phoenix. I called to see if I could pick up but not possible so I will pick up at 8:30AM at my local hub tomorrow. I only had the nearest hub as an option for pickup. Maybe if I would have called and requested to hold at the main hub but even then may have had to wait and then would be a further drive with later hours to open. Patience is not a virtue of mine LOL

i held mine; too smooth. The UPS guy already knew what it was. Very easy, better than having the driver cruise away because they don't feel like stopping @ my place
