UPS My Choice Held for Pick Up on 9/19

So it doesn't have to be "Shipped" yet on apple.com? I tried that and nothing shows up.

**EDIT** Nvm, I tried it again and it worked. Even gave me the tracking #. Nice!

Why do you keep changing it?
 
I did it too pick up one 6 and 6+ On 9/19 at 7:30am the only option that delays it a day is if it goes to a UPS store.
 
I still can't get my tracking info. Maybe mine is coming via fedex. When I pre ordered my 4S, it was fedex.
 
this won't work for commercial address.. it gave me an error and asked to contact ups..
 
Just got mine setup for pickup 8am Friday at the UPS facility. This was my plan from the beginning...now lets not spread the word too much. Not looking to stand in any lines Friday...I was looking forward to having my phone in my hands before the stores even opened up without ever being inconvenienced by the general public.
 
I want to opt for this method as it seems quickest, but I've heard that SOME people have had their pickup date delayed by a day (sometimes pushing it til Monday). I'd go crazy if that happened lol.

I've changed my deliveries to pick up before with UPS and didn't have to sign up for anything. Just give them a call with your tracking number and they'll change it for you. Unless something has changed recently, that is.

If you were going to do that why not just pick it up in store? The UPS depot is about 45 min drive from my house so that would def be a no go for me. Guess you're worried about the "line" at the apple store.... show up 1/2 hour after they open and you'll most likely be able to walk in to get your pre-order.... at least that's the way it's gone for me WHEN pre-orders are available.

Apple stores have still not penetrated the consumer electronic market thoroughly. The closest Apple store to me is ~170 miles and I live in the state capital (Tallahassee, FL). :( The UPS depot is 4 miles. Maybe the OP is in the same situation.
 
I've used UPS My Choice many times before, but I can't seem to change my delivery to Will Call because everytime I click "Change Delivery", it prompts me to log in my UPS account, but then after that, it just returns me back to the tracking info without any option to actually change the delivery.

I wonder why I can't change it? I'm tracking this through my phone number as reference and Apple still has not updated my order status to shipped yet. It's still currently in "Preparing for Shipment" still.

You live in your states capitol and the closest apple store is 170 miles? I didn't know Americans were allowed to life in BFE! Grew up in Florida so that explains it all... Bass Ackward state if you ask me.
 
Glad I found this thread. Exactly what I want to do. Do you have to wait until it ships? I got my tracking number by using the reference number.
 
Idea was great, execution was dumb, just should have called UPS and told them that they should hold it at the facility for pickup instead of delivery to home. The UPS customer service would have taken care of it.
 
That was easy. I just requested it be held via ups.com.
First thing Friday morning, i'll drive down and pick it up, beats waiting until a 5pm delivery.
