My Apple Watch Series 2 was caught up in the same problem. Luckily UPS handled it very well. The scheduled delivery is a day earlier than Apple predicted. Now I'll have my watch on Monday.

Apple especially came through for me. Delivery dates for my preorder were October 10-21 (3-5 weeks). Here we are a whole month early.

Mine was Oct 4-10 and received it this week, so while i was a little puzzled over the delay (even had the UPS email i would get my device on Wednesday and then got a new one it would be Thursday) i'm happy to have gotten mine WEEKS early.

I appreciate it! I am trying to sort out whether or not to move the address to my home vs. work... Definitely sooner than Apple originally indicated but this week has been somewhat frustrating only because they emailed me Tuesday saying it would be here by Thursday. Got excited!

Glad i could help. Good luck!

Yeah not buying that. "Severe weather" when the weather reporting services all say it's in the mid-70s and clear?

Mine is still saying they can't figure out a delivery time. Yet the delivery planner shows yesterday is when it was arriving. Apple: how about finding a carrier that can do this right? My 6+ was a mess like this too.

Here's my tracking as of a minute ago:

Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 09/23/2016 7:12 P.M. Departure Scan
09/23/2016 1:55 P.M. Arrival Scan

Our phones must be in the same shipment! My UPS tracking is saying the exact same thing. I called UPS yesterday and they tried to give me the "Severe Weather" line until I called them on it and quoted the weather in Incheon to them. I can't wait to see where in SE Asia my phone travels tomorrow! They need to get their paperwork and act together!!

No mention of the idiots working at UPS making stuff up as they went along to lie to the customers?

Then your sadly mistaken, unless you can prove they 'Lied' to you about your iPhone. Mine was delayed as well, among the thousands of others. I contacted UPS directly and they were very helpful with me. They flagged my package, a shift supervisor contacted me by E-mail and Phone contact to update me with whatever information they could provide.

Sure, it doesn't fix the issue and or guarantee my iPhone in my hands on the same day, but my experience was very satisfying. Unless you have evidence they directly lied to you, I would love to read your synopsis on how they lied, being they are the largest Parcel delivery company in the world, with higher standards than most other delivery services in my opinion. Please elaborate.

This preorders for the watch have turned out better than expected!

Louisiana. Same day. Sorry i left that out... what threw me for a slight curve is it usually goes through Jackson, MS (my wife's did) and mine went through Lafayette. Not complaining, just didn't expect it!

This gives me hope if they'll deliver on Saturday. Fellow Louisianaian here

i am one of these. any hope for saturday delivery? as its on route to US right now.
It's possible. My wife's rose gold iPhone 7 Plus was due for delivery on the first day, Friday Sept. 16, but got delayed for some reason while my daughter's phone was delivered on time. They changed the delivery on their own to Saturday delivery and it arrived around noon'ish on Saturday, only a day late. While I was ticked at the delay, my wife didn't care and was happy to get hers on Saturday.

Mine, meanwhile, is a jet black iPhone 7 Plus, and was on the mechanically-challenged flight to Incheon. It now says it has left Korea, but still has no expected delivery date. Before the delay, it had said it was scheduled for Monday delivery. We'll see what happens by tonight.

I like the title of the article however I'm not convinced UPS is doing anything to "expedite" the shipments. To expedite would mean they would offer late day/evening or Saturday deliveries to try and recover missed time. Neither seems to be an option by both Apple and UPS. Yesterday In an online chat with Apple I was told the tracking descriptions on the UPS page were false due to a system malfunction and they showed my phone delivered to a local hub waiting to be sent out for delivery. This was clearly not true as UPS has no record of the phone reaching the US and it was it delivered Wednesday, Thursday or Friday all of which were scheduled delivery days. UPS also claims that in order for Saturday delivery to occur the shipper (Apple) has to request it. I spoke to a rep at Apple support this afternoon and according to him they (Apple) would have to authorize Saturday delivery following a thorough shipment investigation which in most cases would further delay the shipment. His only advice which was laughable was to continue to track the shipment with the MYUPS app.

The biggest frustration for me is simply trying to plan for someone to be available to sign for the package. With the current shipping debacle and trying to follow the 3 incorrect delivery dates, planning around UPS is nearly impossible.

As of right now, neither company can offer an eta for the delivery. Perhaps submitting and waiting on another preorder to process and ship may be the quicker option at this point......

Perhaps if people didn't act as if their life were coming to an end due to a phone shipment delay they wouldn't lie to you about it. If I were on the other end I would probably lie as well if some mouth breather was screaming at me over a stupid phone. I wonder if some of you here actually get out much and interact with the world.

While I agree that some people took it a little too far; I work retail and it sucks when the company screws up because they put people who are paid significantly less too deal with it, but they have to understand why people are mad. Personally I work really hard to be able to afford a new phone every couple of years and personally I don't like having to guess where my phone may actually be and what the explanation might be. UPS, and this is corporate not the people who took the calls, needed to release a statement explaining what was going on. The phones are expensive and not knowing where it is for sure is not something people necessarily like.

Not me. I still have an expected delivery date between Oct 4-10.
I don't know how they bumped some orders up and not others. I ordered the Jet black plus 128 and had shipping dates of October 18-31 and should realistically be getting it Monday.

There is no such thing as always getting what we want, sometimes "stuff" just happens and we just have to deal with those moments. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head because their iPhone is late, it's just a possession. If the device were to be lost, Apple would refund the price (that's how it works) or you can just call the credit card company and dispute it. Takes a couple of days but it works.

[doublepost=1474666958][/doublepost]I just talked with the UPS guy and I'm in KY and he said there is talk of Saturday delivery. No doubt Apple can afford to do this. I sure hope we see a Saturday delivery. My phone has been in AK since this morning. So hoping!!

Mine is still being processed by T-Mobile. I only have a estimated ship date of 9/27-10/10.

Yeah, but any well run company that remembers they're nothing without loyal customers would have recognized that there was a problem and offer a solid explanation early on. Their explanation was left to the people answering the phones and their twitter page to get 5 different excuses. Again, i'm not saying people should be rude about it, but complaining absolutely. Companies would be no where without complaints from their customers and knowing where they need to improve on.

So far I'm loving my iPhone 7. Jet Black was definitely the right choice. It's like the iPhone 3G had a baby with the iPhone 4, and she turned out to be a super skinny supermodel with no tan antenna lines. High quality, but all-over glossy deep black.....
That comparison made me chuckle, while at the same time reassuring me I'm making the right choice. Not having seen it 'in the flesh', I had been planning on getting a JB 7+ once the dust settles.

Dear

Thank you for your e-mail. I have checked the tracking information and our records indicate that your shipment was temporarily held when it was in transit due to flight delay.

I am truly sorry the package has not reached the US yet, I completely understand you did not expect to receive your package at a later time but I would suggest you to keep on tracking the package on UPS.com for further updates. Right now a delivery date is not available neither the option to upgrade the delivery, I am sorry but once the information is available you will be able to see it online.

If you would like to be notified about any exception on your package please track your package on UPS.com and use the "Notify me with Updates" button in the Tracking Detail screen to have our system automatically text or e-mail delivery or exception information shortly after the UPS scan becomes available.

If you have any other questions or would like additional updates please do not hesitate to contact us back.

Sincerely,

Dulce L.

"Small number" my a**. In the 4/10-10/10 forum there have been like 10 max that have gotten their phones, the rest of us were out of luck

This is the downside to on-demand package tracking. People freak out when a package doesn't move as fast as they want it to or gets redirected to somewhere else and gets delayed. What happened to the good old days when we just got the packages when they arrived instead of furiously reloading the tracking page every five seconds expecting an update?

Like someone else said, one plane had mechanical problems and the other hit turbulence and had to turn back. Millions of packages pass through the UPS system without a hitch, but when something is coming from out of the country you have to prepare for the possibility that there is a delay with a flight.

Everyone will get their phones.

I am in the same boat. My phone was in Korea due to weather. I called UPSand they were no help at all. In fact they told me to call Apple. On a whim I did. I spent two hours on hold trying to figure out if apple could help or if they knew something extra. They did not. But what I did get was an Apple TV 32 GB for free for my trouble.
