I got the Saturday delivery email from Apple also :)
Me too...also, UPS sent me a text saying the flight delay has caused it to be later than scheduled delivery...it is scheduled now to arrive sometime today....
 
Well look what I woke up to :

I checked the UPS site and they still do not have an ETA, but the package did have a departure scan from Louisville, KY about 90 minutes ago, so getting delivered in Houston today is certainly within the realm of possibility.

In the grand scheme of things, when i made the order, the ETA was Oct 4-10. So really, even if I only receive it monday, they have still exceeded my expectations by a fair amount.

Like many of us on this thread, the frustration of seeing the package stuck in Korea for a couple of days has been rather an irritation, but these things happen. Back in the day, you ordered something in the mail, waited weeks and checked your mailbox every day till it came.

It's only a phone, and I already have a perfectly good 6S to use till this one gets here.
 
According to Hong Kong Observatory, there is indeed a tropical cyclone in the area now.......

Except, it is just waaaaaaaaaaaaay out there in the open waters outside of the Philippines!
So if the cyclone is causing shipping delays, it must be a cyclone of unprecedented magnitude!;)

wow....my plane went of course because it was "extremely windy.."

Just left East Boston...wow from Alaska to East Boston in less than a day...it seems to moving now.

UPS shows it in Louisville (I live in Louisville) but not yet out for delivery. Major blunder on UPS's part but they seem to be trying to do their best to get things resolved. Still though I bet Apple was a little pissed.

I got the same email from Apple, however I also got a text message from UPS that my item was scheduled for delivery Monday, however online they have no estimated delivery date. Hmm.
 
Check your UPS status again now! Mines going to arrive today!

Depends where you live. If in Dallas there is a sorting center in Dallas (Mesquite). If in Tarrant county it usually goes to the Fort Worth one.
 
UPS has really let me down. I was able to forgive "bad weather" and "mechanical failure" but what really has me mad is their unwillingness to be helpful. I received an email this morning that my iPhone 7 Plus and been rescheduled for delivery Monday (original date was Thursday). When I looked up the tracking, my phone is about 5-10 miles from my house, so I called and asked to pick it up since they have Saturday pickup. Completely stonewalled. I was told that my package is inside a container that they won't even open until Monday. When I complained about delays, I got nowhere. So because of my box is in a box, I wait another few days. Really?! So much for "doing everything possible to expedite delivery."

Given that the UPS tracking showed that the phone wouldn't be delivered the days you were supposed to be off since it wasn't in the country yet could you still have gone to work and just cancelled your PTO and not wasted the time? You can also do a shipment release and pick your delivery window for $8 which while not free certainly costs less than a wasted day off so that it minimizes the time the package is sitting outside.

You may want to check tracking again as well, mine got updated to Monday delivery and in the last few minutes changed again to out for delivery.

Hi all,

I was wondering if it was just me they were messing up with my delivery or not. Apparently not. I'm having the same issue. After several days of delays, Apple sent me an email late last night that it would be delivered today, 9/24/16. I woke up this morning and see this for tracking on my package and got confused yet again. I know Miami weather changes within minutes but I looked out the window and aside from a couple of clouds, the sun is shining and it's not even raining anywhere in South Florida.

This delivery isn't the only issue I've had with UPS. Over the last two weeks they have messed up four different deliveries I was expecting from Amazon and WayFair so this isn't really an isolated issue just for handling the delivery of iPhones. And to be honest, if you're a company that delivers residential and commercial packages across the world and you take on the role of being the shipping carrier for a company as big as Apple, you better have your entire operation on point. UPS knew what was coming. They knew that this was going to be a massive event. It's not like they were blind sided by this so they need to get their act together and stop acting like a shady company - sorry not sorry. I rather they just flat out tell me that they're having difficulty meeting demand in delivering these packages than outright lie to me saying junk like "severe weather has delayed your package". I would actually respect and be more understanding if they just said the truth rather that come up with lies.

I live less than two miles from the main UPS hub here in Miami and right now I'm sitting in my office at home, typing this, and about to close the shades a bit because the sun is incredibly bright this morning.

Edit: I should also note that even though it says it should be delivered today and outside of the delivery window, I spoke with a UPS rep that apparently is part of a special team designed to handle iPhone 7 delivery issues and she told me that it may not actually be delivered today and that it looks like it will be delivered on Monday, 9/26/16.

My tracking changed to "Monday delivery" a couple of hours ago too and then it just changed one more time, just a few minutes ago to reflect Saturday delivery. It's also currently out for delivery ;)

I wouldn't give up yet. I'm in NJ and got the same weather notification. Up until less than an hour ago, my tracking looked the same and now it's out for delivery.

I've been following he issues with UPS and the iPhone 7's for a few days now and one thing I've learned is that UPS has no idea what's going on. They don't communicate with each other and you need to take what each rep says with a grain of salt. In fact, I would trust Apple's email over a UPS customer service rep any day. I wouldn't doubt yours will update soon.

Guys, Apple did approve the Saturday delivery it seems. I just got my 128gb Matte 7 plus delivered about 10 minutes ago. Its updating to 10.0.2 as we speak as part of the restore process. I was one of the people who had the delayed due to weather message and was stuck in Asia for three days! Don't loose hope!

Doesn't work that way in our company - I cannot cancel a PTO request within 24 hours of the time off.

I'm now waiting for UPS to take me off their hold line - "Due to the EXTEREME NUMBER of calls, your wait time is approximately 22 minutes" - to see IF they will let me drive in and pick up the phone. Kind of doubting it, as their Lawnside office seems to have a less-than-helpful Manager.

I'll post up once they take me off their on-hold music.

Mine's 20 minutes away and it said there was a mechanical failure after it arrived and that it would be delivered today still, but now it shows rescheduled delivery for Monday. How annoying.
