Ahh - I'm in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Yeah - I thought the same thing, I even asked around the forum to confirm and was told it was charged when you picked up. That's been my wife's complaint about my yearly upgrade and insistence upon launch day purchases, is that the installment always falls 1-3 days before my paycheck hits the bank. I chose Sunday for that reason and she gave her reluctant blessing to upgrade when she had been pushing to wait a few months until there was stock and I could walk in and buy it on a specific day. I guess now I know, but not looking forward to that conversation.
It’s not going to be fun at all but it bothers me because they said 1-3 days after pickup. It’s my first time with citizen
I have been using iUP and Citizens for a few years, but always had it delivered. I got charged when the phone shipped. This is my first ISPU and was hoping to have more control. Good luck to us I suppose.
We will see, hopefully I get the green light for today and you for Sunday. If not then I’ll go to sleep, I work overnight and I won’t go to the store unless I’m sure I’ll be able to pick it up.
I have placed my iphone 17 pro max 3 minutes in when preoder started , My iphone 17 pro max pre order was scheduled for delivery sep 19 just until late last night and now its pushed till oct 10-17 !? My card was charged the day I have placed my order ( or maybe it was a hold ) now the charge has disappeared from my card statement !

I have an 815am appointment. I got the trade in email around 10 last night. Still on processing though. I’m going regardless. My thought process is, if I get there and they tell me the phone isn’t there, surely they will just grab one from the walk in stock seeing as how I have proof of the appointment right? I hope?
I don’t know if they will have my config there (2TB) it has been messy this year to be honest
I just ran mine through to see if they would list any other appointments, and it said “in store availability 9/19”. It was for a base 256gb silver. But maybe try the same for your local store and see what it says? Not trying to sound entitled here at all but surely if we have proof of preorder listed for this day at this time, we should be able to get from the walk in stock.

I have not checked ! I asked a couple days ago and they are only letting people with preoder in store pick up to get their phones launch day ! If I want one I have to wait in line and hope for the best
Could try what some others did earlier this week and email Tim Cook. Worked for them, may be worth a shot.
I do agree on the messy part though. The last few years it’s been thankfully uneventful. Log on, hit submit, get phone on launch date. Last year particularly, I had my tracking info preorder night. My phone was sitting in my local hub early than it ever has. This year is my first Ispu. I only chose it because I seen the 9/25 thing, then noticed the 9/19 date for pick up so figured it’s the safer route.
He obviously doesn't check his own email, but he has a team of people that monitor and try to resolve various issues and concerns. Several people in this thread got 9/25 delivery dates, despite ordering in the very early minutes of preorders. They got moved up after emailing him. They confirmed that they were early enough and that there was stock that they got bumped to the head of the line.
