My Sky Blue Air is out for delivery. Ordered Saturday morning. Once I get my trade in kit I'll have to say goodbye to my sweet price, the 15PM.

The anxiety begins with receiving and sending back the units as I am terrified they will be stolen in transit. We'll see. So far I haven't had bad luck.
 
I like this suggestion, but I think it could be tweaked to ensure a free shipping option is still the default. Apple could offer one of the services as the free default (ie, the service they currently use), alongside offering paid shipping options. Otherwise, people would be up in arms about the trillion dollar company that stopped paying for shipping
Yes agree !

Since Apple gets a HUGE discount on shipping costs due to the massive amounts of devices being sent, it would make sense to give free Next Day Air Saver shipping standard.

But if there are customers that needed it a certain time (ie early morning), they can PAY for Next Day Air Early AM option or same day Critical ?

I am now BFFs with a Supervisor in the local UPS Distribution Center. Long path to getting to speak to him.
( Not something I'd want to put in the open cos people could use it for evil. )

He really was quite kind. Great to interact with a real human after all the bots on the phone THAT DROVE ME CRAZY.
Supervisor met me at the employee security gate (like a TSA check-in!) with my phone in hand.

On the bad - the shipping box was opened. However, the Apple iPhone box was completely sealed and not dented.
He said it looked like it had popped open. (the seal tape separated off intact 1 piece)

About to post a diff topic. Thanks for the commiseration! What is your status?

Glad to know you have a direct line to your local UPS center.

I know I have them from my past years as a shipper.

As for the phone being found - great news but concerns me that the outer box had been opened.

Hope you are able to register it have it work like it should.
 
My 4 iPhones and 2 AirPods ordered on preorder date are officially declared 'lost' by UPS. I was advised to contact Apple who opened an investigation with UPS and eventually they put thru replacements. I don't know how IUP will work.
I would have done my Apple Store but for some reason, my local store wasn't listed as an option.
 
Surprise UPS picked up item at 11:10pm pst - may be UPS exception to big client like Apple. As of now UPS shows delivery tomorrow - UPS next day air.

I didn't get this sorted, but I called the Apple Support line on Saturday (yesterday) and they connected to my phone to see what was going on. The Apple Advisor spoke to his manager because he couldn't get it fixed, but could see no Messages despite them taking up around 8 GB in my storage. The manager said this has been an issue they were aware of from a lot of customers and a fix was being worked on. He apologized and said hopefully an update will be coming soon.

I did complete the Apple survey after, where I complimented the Advisor's customer service but explained the problem and that it was not solved.
This may not help because I do have iCloud backup and could see my many messages were in iCloud but only some of them made it onto my phone. Finally found that in Messages sync was paused. I enabled it and all the messages downloaded. I think someone else backed up their old phone to iCloud again and then restored the new phone again and the messages showed up.

So you position has changed from last night? On a serious note glad you got your new iPhone 17 Pro Max today.

I highly doubt about delivery tomorrow as UPS is not even tracking. Seems like Apple just threw package to UPS after the cut off time and sent notification to customer as tomorrow.
They are great is Just In Time (JIT) processing as long as nothing goes wrong. It also helped that you were CA, and it shipped from CA last night.

I love how much smaller it is. Not unwieldy at all. Great choice on my part. Whoever said the size difference would feel significant is right — in the best way.

The Beats case with kickstand sucks though. I’m returning that. Too slippery, the kickstand is stupid, and the lanyard is on the wrong side for me. Plus it doesn’t seem protective.

DBrand Ghost case is pretty sick though. Just installed it. I only wish the black edges were dark blue to pop off the orange.

Agreed. I’ve had a new PM every year since the 12. I stepped down to the Pro this year too, like you. You’re spot on that the difference is noticeable in that my hand and wrist don’t hurt and I can easily operate it with one hand. Thanks to the improvement is efficiency and battery this year, I get the same battery life.

We did good!

He said, It actually wasn't on the truck yet but he had it there. I immediately said I would come to him. (didn't ask why the status was incorrect...)

Why has it been so difficult to find a silver 1tb phone? :(
I switched from silver to blue because of storage and I regret it already! The camera area already has my fingerprints and it's hard to remove. :|
 
TIK for 9/19 phone being delivered tomorrow FedEx.

Org 256 PM 9/24-29 being delivered from Fusion DC (the 'other' Apple sender) from Carlisle to Northern Virginia Thursday 9/25

Neither shows as shipped and was confused by Fusion. Turns out Wednesday arrival is TIK and Thursday arrival is the phone.

I was confused by all the talk of earlier TIK deliveries or even with a phone. Those might be Apple testing something new?

So, looks like the dates on the extended ranges are correct! Phone arriving one day into the range.

There is also a FedEx label for the TIK for the return shipment.

As cool as the Air is, I think I need to return her and grab the pro max which I’ve always had. Question - I reserved it for Apple Store pickup, is there a way for me to reserve a pro max beforehand and do the return during my pickup? If I go through the finance options thru AT&T it says I can’t because I have the Air. Thanks!
