How does the iPhone Upgrade Program work with in-store pickup? You swap it out there or what?

I was in at like 7:30 AM and shipping said the 25th, so I did pickup for the 19th. I really don't want to do pickup lol.

It was a selection during checkout. Either bring the old phone in to the store during pickup or get a trade-in kit.

it’s odd, I can go in and order the same exact phone I ordered (delivers 9:25) and it’s showing a 9/19 delivery.

Hopefully the pre order delivery date is some sort of glitch.

Very disappointing pre-order experience this year. The queue or whatever never brought me in. When I eventually got in by refreshing, it was already delayed a week.

Same. Weird. And I had no option to choose a pick-up time for ISPU.

They must have had very few phones to sell as when they let me in at 8;08, I get the 25th for delivery. Glad I got that as the date is slipping to the 29th for some.

I’m with a lot of you. Delivery went to 9/25 but launch day at store was available so I switched to pickup instead. Sad that I won’t be tracking UPS flights this year. ☹️

Ended up ordering through AT&T even though I had pre-pre-ordered through Apple. Sat on the "Excited?" page for several minutes, then got in and soonest delivery was 9/25. AT&T still has 9/19 availability.

I wonder if Apple is trying to reduce the number of individual shipments by forcing in store pickup if you want it launch day.

Got in at 5:06 ordered 256 Pro Max Cosmic Orange and 256 Air White Cloud. Both 9/19 delivery.

I was planning to buy through Apple didn’t want to wait till 9/25 so I went with ATT and will get my orange pro max on the 19th.

Two pros with pickup on launch day 😁 both 256, one blue, one orange.

I had to leave the app and come back and it went through after 5-6 minutes of me waiting thinking I had to make sure that it let me in by itself lol. Pick up times were showing delayed as well as shipping, but then all of a sudden it worked for my time and date for the 19th!!

I refreshed it once, then they "brought me in" after about a minute wait, I wondered if my refreshing sent me to the back of the line.

This year, it was strange for me too.
3 devices checking - all delayed.
Refreshed and finally saw the order page.

Wanted to buy an Air straight up and I'm still waiting to get in on my phone and computer. This has gotta be Apple drumming up the hype. These phones aren't that great. 😂

I was able to preorder on AT&T 7 minutes early. I got confirmation at. Checkout and an email Smooth process for a change on their site. Says deliver 9/19. Guess I will find out. lol

Placed my order around 8.02am Eastern and it says 9.25 delivery? I thought they would ship and deliver same day as official launch. Surely they didn’t sell out that fast.

I assume this is them “balancing” stuff and the delivery might change as the phone moves through the supply chain. We’ll see.

Got my order in, good 256GB air for store pickup. Got stuck with an 11:45am pickup time because I had to change an address and lost my first time slot selection but last year UPS didn’t deliver until almost 6pm so still a win overall.

I think most of the 25 dates will move up to the 19th. It’s happened before.

I hope so, This is a 1st for me to not get a secured launch day date, It sucks lol

I ordered literally at 8:01am for the Cosmic Orange Pro Max, first year I am not getting it on launch day. How are they slipping top 9/25 in 1-2 minutes??

FWIW every orange pro max was launch day when i checked out almost 10 minutes after that. I bet yours will show up on the 19th.
