I did not change my address just had them redirect to UPS Store for certain deliveries.(For FEDEX it is a Walgreens near me-same M.O.). Have not experienced any day of the week delays. Just get your request in soonest. Both the the local UPS store and that Walgreen's for FEDEX are on the routes to my house anyway. (My item, same truck, different drop off point). I am near the end of the route for both delivery services so my item gets delivered earlier to these stores when I opt to use the redirect. The websites for UPS and FEDEX give you a choice of locations that will hold the items. Here in my town outside of Tucson AZ, there are a Walgreens and UPS store very close to me. Never had an issue. Once when local Walgreens could not find my delivery, it was there. (Experienced store employee to new hire who we will call numnutz: "You are looking in the wrong place. FEDEX drop off are here"- points to large locked door with FEDEX SHIPMENTS sign.) Yoink.

I ordered a 17 Pro Max 256 GB Deep Blue on the IUP and an iPhone Air Sky Blue 256 GB with a trade-in this morning with confirmation emails at 7:01 AM CDT and 7:03 AM CDT respectively. Both initially showed 9/25 arrival dates, but the 17 Pro max updated to 9/19 this afternoon. iPhone Air still shows 9/25 even though the Apple Store shows I could order a new one with a 9/19 arrival. Weird
Many of us got screwed with the 25th delivery date (or other dates beyond the 25th) and haven’t been updated to the 19th. Is it worthwhile to cancel and reorder? Risky? How long does it take for the upgrade status to revert back so we can place smooth reorder?

Not experienced with this situation but I believe someone a few pages ago said it took them 10-15 mins after they canceled to reorder with their upgrade restored.
Thanks for all the info! Hmm…I’ll have to think about it (take off work so that it won’t guaranteed be delayed) OR use the UPS app to redirect it (glad yours never got delayed but wonder if that’s a YMMV thing).

It could be risky if the deliver date ends up beyond the 25th (original order). 🤔
If you have a Apple Store near you, just cancel the order pick it up the same day
I got right in too, 17PM Orange. Gave me 25th delivery or 19th in store pick up- I am going in.
No not worth risky it. wait until over the weekend see any update. it happen before every pre order from Apple. 25th is not that long wait from 19. Time will go by fast. If there is no update then 25th arrive then you will be happy to have it. Good thing it not late October delivery date. Enjoy your weekend and new upcoming toys 😊
Was still the 25th, so I cancelled and re-ordered. This time I’m doing an ISPU. It’s only about 2 miles from my house. Chose Saturday so I don’t need to worry about taking work time off.
I did this, took about 10 mins for my upgrade to be restored. Although had I waited, I’m sure my 9/25 would have turned into 9/19 because I got in within 3 minutes.
As long as you check your config before and it shows 9/19 you should be fine if you cancel and reorder.
I literally just did it. I also had a trade-in and “financed” through Verizon. Took a couple of minutes. Was very easy.
Yes. Right now I’m in Wyoming for work. The closest apple store is 4.5 hours away in SLC, Utah. I’m fortunate I was able to get it shipped to my hotel rather than my home in CA.
I have two, one is my screen protectors and case for wife. One could be watch or phones, but both coming from TN, so I am assuming watch for the one I am not sure of.
WOW, Apple called me. He had me reorder the pro max deep blue and he would get the iPhone to me on Friday. I already gave him the order number. Thank you to the person who said we should email Tim Cook

Just checked the Verizon app and almost 12 hours later, every color in every storage option is STILL available. The Air gonna go the way of the mini and plus models lol

Same! Trade-in deal and financed through AT&T. It didn’t take long to place the new order. Not even a few minutes 🤙
I got a second AT&T Installment Plan Agreement email. I’ll be deleted the first one 😀
First time doing store pickup, how does it work? Do you have to show up exactly at the time you selected, or can you go earlier or later than that time?
