Sounds like Apple is now correcting this morning’s ordering glitch. Had 2 orders done around 5:08PDT. Both were showing arrival on 9/25. Just received two emails saying there’s been a change and showing delivery by 9/19.

Does anyone know when the trade-in kits usually get shipped? Is it typically as soon as possible after pre-order, at the same time as the new phone ,or after the phones are delivered? I go on vacation on the 23rd so not sure if I'll get it and meet the 14 day limit.
I also wouldn't mind just trading in-store as I'm picking up on launch day...but I've heard mixed stories about whether I can do that on launch weekend or not? If anyone has clarifications, I would appreciate it

No. But I saw multiple posts from today where a lot of earlier orders made from 05:00-05:30PDT were given the 9/25 delivery date, with everyone else receiving normal 9/19 date. A few posters suspected some kind of glitch. That’s what I was referring to.
I guess it’s possible. It’s just weird that we were given 9/25 date instead of 9/24-9/29. Then everyone else who’s ordered for next few hours were given 9/19 delivery. I mean, do we really think that they only had a few thousand phones on hand and ran out within the first 30 min, then magically got more stock?

My trade in kit comes around Wed/Thursday the week after launch. Im doing ISPU and the instructions say they'll take it in the store. Something was different this year. From previous launches it seems like they didn’t have as many open store pickups as they did this time. In my area 17 PM 1TB in Blue is still available for pickup on 9/19 and 9/20, but the shipping is well into October.
The dates aren’t a glitch. I got my order in at 8:01 PM blue 256 with 9/25 date hasn’t changed. With people canceling some dates are being moved up.
I’m talking about orders made within 30 min after the store was made available.
I don’t know when you ordered and/or if they’ll move your date. But you can cancel and reorder. As you can see - Blue and even the Cosmic Orange are still available.
I got the Pro Max 256gb in orange and white. Both don’t show for pick up on my side. I ordered at 5:01 exactly. A minute after.
That’s weird. I see the Cosmic Orange in stock for both delivery and pick up. I bet you - they’ll push you later today or tomorrow to 9/19. See the screenshot
