i went with desert titanium last year because it was the new color (didn’t want to get natural titanium again) and was slightly disappointed that it was not really “desert” like brown but more rose gold. in some lights it looks pink. not enough for me to replace the color with something else or put a case/skin on it but still

so kinda hesitant getting this new orange color which is pretty bold

I hope I'm not going to regret orange, and that it'll pop in certain lighting conditions. I also had natty last year for my pro max, then black when I traded it in for the regular size pro. The black really was classy looking. Natty was nice too, but kinda got bored with it, which would be my concern with the silver this time around.

It’s been awhile but if we save our setup and do the preorder on Friday, is it ship only or do we get to do a store pickup?

I want to do a store pickup but I feel like I have to order it on the release date to do that. I don’t remember how I did it last time.
 
I was at first turned off as the 5/8x optical zoom rumor turned out to be wrong, but now I am re-considering. if I go, it'll be 17PM in orange, plus a black leather case, or maybe dark blue.
Apple lowered the trade-in value for my 13PM from $360 to $320 ;(
 
512gb blue pro max all set for pre order on Friday. For those of you on the IUP remind me of when the actual loan approval goes through. I forgot even though I went through IUP last year.

Going through exactly the same conversation with myself. I also have a desert titanium 16 Pro and the color hasn't grown on me over the year I've had it. I was planning on white this year, but I'm not sure if I like the silver. It seems too industrial to me. But it would match my watch. The orange is growing on me. But I'm not sure I will be happy with it long-term. If it is bronzy I might like it. But if it's cheeto, no. I usually go caseless and I don't really want to hide it because I don't like the color.

I have both orange and white phones ready for pre-order and I guess I'll decide at 5:00 am on Friday when my alarm has just gone off and I haven't had any coffee.

good to see you all again! this year i am doing the 16 Pro in Deep Blue. might actually go caseless this year. have to order through T-Mobile unfortunately rather than Apple
 
Got my preorder in for the 17pm orange, 2TB!

Now, I need to get my wife’s preorder in. I use the same email for her phone, but I haven’t seen an email for that one yet.

I believe it's when you actually pay on Friday that you set up your store pickup time. I'm not 100% sure either, last year was the first and only time I did it this way.

Ditto. My UPS driver is an ass whom I've reported several times so now he's retaliating in spades. He refuses to come to the door so I can sign for any signature required package. So instead of chasing him around the neighborhood, I'm also choosing in store pickup, Sept 19 same day and time as my Apple Watch Ultra 3 :D
 
Orange PM for me. I wasn't going to go with orange but no black option, my 16 PM is natural titanium so silver looks boring to me now, and I'm not a fan of blue. Hope I don't get sick of the orange.

Still waiting for Citizens One approval. It seems I have added security on my account. I called and spoke to a woman who said I will get a text and I must click Yes to verify it was really I who submitted the application. I told her 3 times that I already got a text and replied Yes. Then she said they would call me or send me an email. Wow, never had to go through that all the other years.
 
What’s the process like using T-Mobile’s site / app?

Is Apple’s easier / smoother?

I prefer store pickup, and TMo is right by my house.
 
I think I’m going with the 256GB Pro Max in Blue, I like the orange but I’m not head over hills in love with it and I feel like I might get tired of it quickly, since I had a blue pro max awhile ago I know I’ll like that color.

I just have to decide if I want to do store pickup or shipping, I live right down the road from an Apple Store now so it’d be easy to go in and grab it but also I’m not sure if I want to hassle with all the crowds or not.

They want you going through the UPS store so they can sell you more goods and services. Yeah, I have a lot of inbound and outbound packages and they let me know ahead of time the changes to the UPS CC. One of the workers just wants to finish a few more years so she can retire. Sucks because the UPS stores are privately owned and less security for inbound and outbound packages :( See the YouTube video about the guy losing his 10k Leica thru a UPS store.

Anyone else getting an error trying to confirm your Boost account? It says to contact Boost but Boost refuses to help because they don’t provide support for Apple’s website
 
Hi gang!! After 1000 years on the Apple Upgrade Program since the literal first year without a single snag, I hit a snafu this year...I totally forgot I had all three credit bureaus frozen after the AT&T breach a while back, and got the dreaded "Pending approval" from Citizens. I think I have it sorted now, but their site is hosed, and I'm trying to get in to see my final decision. Good to see everyone, I love these annual reunions!!!

I saved my pre-order for cosmic orange 17 Pro Max. It's bold, I always stick to black, but went with Natural Titanium on my 15 Pro Max. I'd probably do black if it was available. Like the blue as well, but the orange is pretty awesome.
