I’ve been on the iPhone upgrade train since the beginning: OG, 3G, 3Gs, 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6+, 6s+, 7+, X, XS Max, 11PM, 12PM, 13PM, 14PM, 15PM, 16PM, Air and now…iPhone Duo 1TB in Night Sky!! Wahoo!!

That used to be always me. I did that for a number of years, would even take in some fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts in for the people that worked in there, this is in Lubbock, Texas, and I was usually the first in the door when the CC opened up to get the phone. But UPS has taking a little bit of the fun out of it, so for the last couple of years, just have to wait till they deliver it to my apartment complex. 😒

I feel the same way. I’m getting up the burgundy 18 pro max, but I don’t really wanna get a burgundy woven case, though I do like the feel and grip of the TechWovens. Oh well, Amazon case here I come

Yeah, all UPS CC have been gone for quite some time, used to make launch days so much easier for the waiting lol 😛

You can just turn it in and start on the new upgrade program with an 18. Unfortunately the old program is retired. You may want to check your trade in value as it might actually make more sense to pay it off and then trade it in.

I didn’t upgrade last year so ive still got a 16PM going strong (recently had to get a new one through apple care due to my launch day one getting ran over during a run) so I am torn on whether or not to upgrade. Husband needs a new phone (hes on the 11 still im pretty sure) so i might just bite the bullet and go for it and give him my 16
 
Prepared the preorder for the 18pro with 512GB in Burgundy.

Do I really need 512GB or is 256 enough? The upgrade to 512 is 200 bucks, that's almost 20% of the price and if I don't need that I'd rather not waste the money. Is there a chance that in a few years 256 is not enough if I take lost of pictures, but they get offloaded to the cloud. I also can't see myself taking many long videos or download many movies. Apps get larger and larger over time, but will that get me over the 256? My current iPhone with 64GB after 5 years has now reached its 64GB limit, so I assume the 256 might be enough for 5 years too, correct?

I did 512gb this time, down from 1TB on the 16 PM. I realized that I access most of my content from the cloud now. Only the apps are really taking up space. I have like 700gb free on my 16 PM lol.

Just need to see what the Duo looks like in hand (closed) and how it'll fit in the pocket, and if I can put it in my butt pocket and sit on it, and if it'll have pinch-gate. If all good, I'll buy it day one.

My ‘totally made up and mine alone’ rule is: If I’m over 50% on my current storage, I bump up one level when I upgrade.

128GB would be the next level from 64GB…so under jf64k’s rule, at 256GB you’re good!!

I have AppleCare on my 17 Pro. But when I trade it in for the 18 Pro, will AppleCare transfer automatically, or do I have to just cancel it and purchase it for the 18 Pro?

If you have AppleCare One, no. But if you’re buying two years of AppleCare, you’ll need to contact Apple to refund any remaining time that you haven’t used the plan.
