Anyone who has been doing annual trade ins using Apple Card Monthly Installments, how seamless does it feel?
I’m figuring out what to do now that iPhone Upgrade Program is ending and I see the Klarna 12 month plan is effectively identical if you add AppleCare+ manually, but I see some saying how Apple Card financing is less rigid if Apple misses the 12 month announcement cycle and can also net you a bit better value by giving you more than just the “clear the rest of your payments” approach of the other plans.
If it’s as simple as just choosing I Have A Trade In every year at preorder time and choosing to finance the next one on Apple Card at the same time, then letting me go to the store for pickup and leaving the old phone there with the Apple associate like I do now for launches, that seems good to me.
But if it’s not so simple, I might just keep the iUp approach by doing the 12-month Klarna cycle with AppleCare+ to mimic the original plan and value.
