Anyone who has been doing annual trade ins using Apple Card Monthly Installments, how seamless does it feel?

I’m figuring out what to do now that iPhone Upgrade Program is ending and I see the Klarna 12 month plan is effectively identical if you add AppleCare+ manually, but I see some saying how Apple Card financing is less rigid if Apple misses the 12 month announcement cycle and can also net you a bit better value by giving you more than just the “clear the rest of your payments” approach of the other plans.

If it’s as simple as just choosing I Have A Trade In every year at preorder time and choosing to finance the next one on Apple Card at the same time, then letting me go to the store for pickup and leaving the old phone there with the Apple associate like I do now for launches, that seems good to me.

But if it’s not so simple, I might just keep the iUp approach by doing the 12-month Klarna cycle with AppleCare+ to mimic the original plan and value.

I’m deciding between the same two colors, my 17PM is the dark blue and I really like it, so I was thinking Glacier this year but if it ends up being more silvery than blue I don’t know if I’d like it as much. I so also like the burgundy but then I worry it might end up looking a little brownish in certain lights which I also wouldn’t like. 😂

Right now I’m leaning toward glacier but I could easily change my mind between now and Saturday, so we shall see.

My initial reaction was that I wanted the burgundy the most, but after seeing it in a few hands on videos I’m definitely worried about it looking too brown too. I’ve since decided to just go black.

I'm still debating if I want to trade in my 17PM Orange for a 18PM Black. It has to be done through T-Mobile as yearly upgrades are only possible directly with T-Mobile. My 17PM is still at 92% Battery so it could definitely last 12 more months.... With T-Mobile I would be paying $4 a month for the upgrade so it's not a monetary hassle. The thing is that I'm also upgrading my Mac Studio M1 Max with a Mac Studio M5 Max (Sep 22nd delivery) and my AWU3 for an AWU4 and honestly, there is not too much appeal or new features from 17PM to 18PM to justify the upgrade. Let's see how my mood is on Saturday after my 60 miles bike ride LOL. What is for sure, I'm not pre ordering with Apple at 7 am CT. At that time I'll be riding my bike.

Will be attempting to go back to a PM from my 17 Pro. Plan to order a Burg 512 Pro Max. Looking forward to seeing the variable aperture camera.

LA stores can be busy, especially on launch day…if you mean you’re staying in Universal City, all the stores around there are very busy at times.

You might have better luck at Apple Stores in Vegas.
If you try Vegas, I would say try:
1. Forum Shops in Caesar's (That is in a casino and us locals hate the strip. You can fight it out with the rest of the tourists.
2. Fashion Show Mall - That is also on the strip across from the Wynn, same reason as above.

Leaping 8 years from an XS to a 18 Pro. Happy to get $60 for my old phone on top of cash back for using Apple Card. Selected 256 GB but now wondering if I should have gotten 512 GB with the larger photo and video files.

Wow!! Quite the leap, haha!!

I imagine you’ll be super happy with the performance of the 18 Pro.

I’m trading in my 16PM and thinking about leasing the 18PM, and it’s giving options for 12 month and 24 month leases but I’m confused as to why the 12 month lease is significantly less per month? Am I crazy?
I saw this too, and it has to do with the trade in. With the 12 month lease, you're only spreading the trade in value over 12 months vs 24.

I decided to preorder an 18PM 512GB on Apple but finance through AT&T. I get $1200 trade in for my 16PM, which brings monthly payments to $8.31. If I decide to upgrade in 2 years, I have to pay off what's left, $500. Total out of pocket: $700. But I own the 18PM to trade in next time for another $1200, presumably.

If you do the Apple Upgrade program, there's nothing to trade in next time. So you're financing the full amount: $43.84/mo for 24 months for a $1499 phone. $1052 total. Do I have that right?

Anyone else have the "Get ready for pre-order" option greyed out on the Apple Store/App?

I was trying to get everything saved and ready do go but I can't progress further...

Were you able to complete the pre-order prep on the Apple Store app yet? AT&T doesn't seem to be ready yet.

This will be the first time since ordering the smaller variant of the two iPhones, the 18 Pro. I’ve ordered the biggest model ever since it became a thing with the 6 Plus. Because the Duo will be my primary phone and the Pro will be the equivalent of my point and shoot — so why order the Max and have two phones that aren’t so usable with one hand?

Can’t decide on black or burgundy. Initial reaction was black but burgundy looks really nice. Need to see more videos/photos.

Yes, just did. Someone above said it was available after 9pm PDT. I just saved mine and my son's through AT&T. We're ready to go for Saturday morning.

I’m back again for my 11th year straight of iPhone preordering. It’s gonna be weird having a whole new form factor and not the best camera for once, but I’ve always wanted an iPad-like phone for forever now. I can’t wait to reserve the Duo next month!

has anyone been able to get the preorder ready with AT&T? I tried going through the carrier financing, make it to the end where it has my Apple Card as payment, then it gives an error saying gift card has zero balance. I tried a different credit card and same thing…

I’m coming from the iPhone upgrade program and am wondering if I should do ACMI at this point instead of the carrier financing. I like upgrading every year though so the AT&T next seems like one way to get that. Are others doing the same?

I was going to try The Grove LA store on the Friday, what time would be the best time to get there? If I don't have any luck I will try the stores in Vegas and hope they get some more stock in during the week.
