I don't know whether to go with 1Tb or 2Tb. I have 512Gb now, and it's getting full. I like the extra space 1Tb would give me, but I dunno if I should just spend the $15 extra on top for 2Tb?

Guys, I have a few questions. Kindly bear out with me:

1. Is anybody bothered by the fact that Apple's AI doesn't come near to Gemini or Samsung's Assistant or whatever? Does that make you not switch to iPhone 17 series?

2. Apple's 40W ~ 60W charging brick seems too expensive for my need. I was thinking to get UGreen 30W or some other 30W-40W charger. I understand that the phone decides how much current to draw, but asking just for the sake, is a third-party fast charger harmful for iPhone's battery?

3. Your experience on Apple's clear case. Since I am going for silver Pro max, the clear case seems to suit best for it. But does it get yellow faster? Is it advisable to get it or should i look for a third party one? The only thing that bothers me a bit about third party one is that I don't know if they'll fit the frame well enough as the iPhone is not in the market, or not sure if they released the dummy to the vendors early.

Let me know your thoughts on either or all of the questions above, thanks.
No, I use chatGPT for everything anyway. I’m still getting a new iPhone

Yes, charging that fast will cause faster degradation than slow charging, though more impactful is probably whether you charge to 100% or not. I use a 12W charger max, the one from my iPad mini, but try to use a 5W when I can. My 14 Plus battery is still at 100% capacity, not sure of the cycle count though

The Apple ones are usually hard plastic, which are slower to yellow, but I still prefer TPU cases that I can get for <$10 on Amazon, because I like how they feel more. They also have less potential to scratch your phone with trapped debris and stuff, in my experience

That is what TheYayaAreaLiving used to say before she was banned, lol. She wanted to have an infinite supply of 5 W chargers because anything more was going to kill her battery even though she changed her phone every year, of course.

THIS! Same thing happened to my 14 PM. I cant stand that I can't get through a complete date without having it at 30-35% by around 3-4 pm when i take it off the charger around 5:30 am. Im not a heavy user, Im not playing games throughout the day, just checking emails, texts, a couple of YT vids, and browsing the internet.
Yeah! Same! All I do is browse the web, watch YT, maybe some occasional Twitch streams (using background audio), and a majority of the time I am using PocketCast to listen to my podcasts (using background audio). And a majority of that time I am doing it using Wifi at home or at the office - WTF?!??!

Don't have any games installed on my phone - when I have to game, I use my dedicated devices for it - Nintendo Switch 2 or my gaming PC....

...and this device doesn't have any of the debacle that is Apple AI either, so that shouldn't cause battery drain either....this was the last series of phones that were released before AI became a huge trend in the industry and forced all companies to pivot to AI...

For those of you with Verizon and/or have experience with Verizon. I was a long time customer of T-Mo and then switched to Xfinity. Last year I moved and Verizon was my only WiFi option so I switched mobile carriers to bundle with Verizon. I currently have a 16 Pro in perfect condition. The phone is 28% paid off with a remaining balance of $749.30 and the 50% pay off benchmark is $244.30. I am on the Ulimited Ultimate plan. When I go to the Verizon app, under my device if I click on "Ultimate Phone Upgrade" then Shop Phones, for a very brief moment it has the iPhone 17 models listed and in green states "Trade in and save up to $1100.
How does the phone upgrade process work with Verizon? Do I need to pay the 50% amt of $244.30 then am eligible for the 17 Pro with a $1,110.00 credit (which, if I'm not mistaken will leave me with no monthly device payment)? The math seems too good to be true. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Question: Does pre-ordering actually give you a "first-come-first-serve" like spot regarding availability? Meaning, those of us who pre-ordered Tuesday are"further in line" vs those who pre-ordered today?

It doesn’t to my understanding since no one has actually preordered. All you did was “get ready” to preorder. It all matters when you get in tomorrow morning and actually finish what you started.

I’m starting to worry that trying to choose in store pickup is going to slow me down and that I should just go with shipping like I have in the past. We will see how I feel in 6 hours I suppose. Good luck everyone see you when it’s over.

The way it works with any carrier I assume, Is the phone must be paid off in full. So whatever the full balance is whether it's $749.30 or anything else. It must be paid in full, and Verizon will give you a monthly credit that probably equals out to 36 payments totaling $1,100.

Nobody has pre-ordered yet, so nobody is in line ahead of anybody else just yet. iUP pre-approval or pre-selecting your item for pre-order isn’t the same as actually pre-ordering

I’m surprised the store hasn’t gone down yet. Apples slipping this year.
Bruh this is the first time I am pre-ordering an Iphone in over a decade. I didnt even know they took the damn store down lol, but I think I will be okay. I am going for a 17 pro in silver and will be up bright and early to order right at 5.
