Here comes a big battle between AT&T and jailbreakers.
I hope that doesn't happen but since I know it will... long live jailbreaking!!! Apple netbook + tethered iPhone = I can't wait!
Here comes a big battle between AT&T and jailbreakers.
Seems to be working fine now. I've sent myself a few MMS's. It takes a while for them to send, but if you hit send you can then exit program and a very short time later you will get a notification saying you have a new MMS. Change the .zip to .ipcc, then option check for update in itunes. Go to this file and load. Reboot iphone and there you have it. I believe it's option for mac. Shift for pc.
I've finally created a T-Mobile Germany ipcc which enables tethering as well as MMS sending..
the ipcc uses internet.t-mobile as it's APN.. as far as i know you can only use this APN if you made your t-mobile complete contract on or after july 11, 2008.. if you are unsure whether or not you can use this APN call t-mobile first and ask.. i WILL NOT take responsibility for bricked iPhones and/or high bills.. use at your own risk!
1. download http://www.cybersystem.de/TMobile_Germany.ipcc
2. alt click update in itunes, choose the ipcc file
3. restart your iphone.. otherwise mms wont work...

The error message says the iPhone file could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible
Seems you downloaded the wrong file.
There are different Firmware - Versions for each device (iPhone, iPhone 3 G, misc. iPods).
Re-check the firmware you downloaded, it must match your device
I have the 3g iPhone with 3.0 OS. I just downloaded the ipcc that will allow me to tether from mod my iphone...however the file did not enable MMS.
the zipped file does not have a .ipcc file in the folder (like the previous one downloaded...hence my confusion).
'Do you have any ideas??
@neodoru : it seems that user nitemorph has the ipcc working with mms and tethering for Orange RO, i asked him in a previous post to share the file but he did not respond yet.... I also tried to get the damn mms working but failed so far; either i have the tethering working via BT only (doesn't work via USB) but the mms button isn't there, or i have the mms option active (cannot send/ receive) and no tethering option....
I have managed to do it properly.
Here is a link to download it! http://files.me.com/teodor/yc38zn
The problems are, you have to manually change the APN (in the phone) from MMS to INTERNET depending on what you need! Oh, and btw, YOU MUST RESTART after you update carrier settings, I bet you didn't! (Neither did I and that's why it didn't work)
The teethering is only working on mac if you have the SDK installed (it patches itunes). This is what I heared, i didn't try yet!
Sorry guys, I was out for the weekend and did not figure out how to post files from the iPhone .. I've attached the ipcc I used. Basically, as neodoru is saying, you need to also use the mms APN but you can in fact use 2 APNs, one for phone internet (first one in the dictionary) and the second one with type-mask -2 for MMS. I don't know if tethering still works, I would guess not, let me know how it goes for you.
Sorry, no clue. Everything seems right. Has anyone reported success on this one? If not, you may check this previously posted tool: http://winxblog.com/?p=48
I was able to download Rogers_ca.zip file and rename the extension...I had a browser and a winrar issue....I have the cute little camera at the side of my application. However, I not sure about the APN settings for Rogers....Thanks to the person who uploaded the file.
