These are good
I have mine for a time now ( a little over a week) and now feel I can make a small review for them. I got mine only three days after ordering them from apple (and I ordered late in the day, evening to be exact) so getting them so quickly was a pleasant surprise. Apple had said 1-2 weeks.
I have been using my apple in ear headphones which do not have the mic or control button and they didn't hurt like the original headphones that apple provides with the iphone, but they fall out frequently. Also, the sound would stop working from time to time, to which I would have to blow on them for a time to get them working. I have been using these since they were launched.
Anyways the V-Moda sound quality is better then the apple ones, fit my ears without hurting or falling out using the smallest buds. I like the look of them, and they seem to look better to me with the frost colored buds then the black, and I am a black kind of guy.
The V-Moda also feel solid. The mic and control button are amazing. No one I have spoken to using the mic new I was on the headphones and not using the built in mic (of course don't know if that is a good thing or bad

). I find the button useful, but not something I couldn't live without as I often end up pulling the phone out to see the song thats playing, not a fault of the headphones.
I do not notice any ambient noise from the cord as others have mentioned but I don't know if that might be the material or design of my cloths, how I might use the headphones differently, or my possible hearing loss. Outside noise is reduced to the point where I have the volume around halfway where it used to be about 2/3 to 3/4 max before.
Unfortunately I have not had a chance to try them with classical music, so will update at a later time to how the classical music fares. Rock, dance, techno/electronica and pop all do well, but these genres rely a lot on bass, which is reported to be what these headphones do well with already. I also had no issues with spoken word.
Not sure if I would recommend these, the most I have ever spent on headphones is $39 and have not found a reason to spend more, and I believe there are
rivet headphones the amazon sells for $22. I have not tried them and I have heard and read reviews that go both ways. Had I not received the apple credit I would not have gotten these headphones, I am happy with them but not sure if they are worth $100. I would have done a lot more research before getting these, and probably gone with the rivet first or the
shure adapter, but rhen I would have to deal with 20 feet of cord

.
Anyways, I am happy with these, but it is up to you, your ears and your pocketbook as to wether or not they are worth the cost. I know some people spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars or more on headphones, and I can't understand it, but that is their business, your millage may vary.
