I really want to pick up one of these cases, but these couple of posts are giving me second thoughts. A small lip around the edges is a must for me even thought I don't usually place my phone face down much. Do any others with the Grip (or Grip LP) have a lip (or not)?
Note in the picture below that the screen is off the table by about 1mm. This is because the corners are raised by about that much, but not the sides as you have seen in other posted pictures. I think the case is great. It's much more grippy but a little thicker than the thin Spigen case that it replaces. Feels great in hand. Recommended.

Just an FYI that the edges / corners are raised on SOME corners by about the thickness of a screen protector [literally nothing at all] the very tips on a few of the corners are slightly higher due to how they wrapped the leather around the corners of the plastic frame. I tested it out with a piece of paper that was sticky and it always got stuck to the screen [at least on my 2 Vaja Grips for the iPhone 6]. There is a bit of an optical illusion created due to the curved iPhone screen extending out from the metal case.
This is from the Vaja Customer Support:
Thanks for the images. All our grip cases include the edges at the same level of the screen, they are not supposed to go higher than the screen. That gap would not be either aesthetical or functional
at all.
