Is that the Bridge or the Floater leather type?
You might want to check the calypso thread first. I'm sure they'll be great, high quality cases in the end, but nobody has them yet.
As the other user said, check out the Calypso thread. I waited for mine for 7 weeks and it didn't even get shipped. Ended up getting a refund.
I mailed Vaja about this (the lip along the edges for the Grip/Grip LP), and this is their reply.
Considering the number of people who have gotten the "no lip" answer from Vaja (and the few who have received their Vaja in the other thread sans lip), I'd guess that your case having a lip might be a stroke of luck. That said, I don't fancy putting down a $90-$100 bet on my case having that same stroke of luck and having a lip.

Yep, just saw that. Sort of good news, except by that time, me and most others looking for a case, would most likely already have gotten and settled on a case.According to Vaja they may be introducing a more protective version with the front lip added back on in the near future. Looks Floater to me... Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
That's what I thought, I think I like the bridge leather more then the floater, but there's less color selection for that option.
Vaja Cases are awesome. But the last one I ordered, and I have ordered eight of them, was a much darker color than the swatch on the website. I get that it is difficult to capture the color exactly on the website but Forest Night turned out to be black with a hint of green. It was like they ruined the color black. Customer service told me that leather colors vary. OK. Can I replace it? No. Can you give me a discount on a new one and I will just reorder? She emailed "I will ask for a usd 20 ecertificate to be issued so you can use it in your next purchase." That is a worse deal than the Father's Day 30% off coupon they had. I wrote back that I didn't think was a fair solution since the color of the product is not close to the sample swatch. I have never received another response from them. So in summary, Vaja Cases are quality cases but if you have a problem don't expect much from their customer service department. They certainly look like nice cases.
But a question for prior users-- does Vaja customer service improve once you actually become a customer?
They don't seem to answer inquiries submitted to the CS system through the contact link on their website.
That's poor for any company, and doubly poor for one that purports to be a high-end brand.
And this has nothing to do with the manufacturing in Argentina, since they've partnered with Case-Mate in the U.S. to handle their marketing and distribution.

Floater dark brown.
Colours vary from screen to screen. What you see might not be exactly what you get. Especially with genuine leather. For example, there is a promo video of their Nuovo Pelle. The colour looks tobacco but in fact, according to their CS, it's London which is a much lighter shade. According to them, they had used that London for 6 months to get a natural patina over them.
If Vaja went about replacing or giving discounts for every colour complain, they won't be very profitable. End of the day, it's still a business. I am not defending Vaja. I only had ordered one case ftom them years ago for my iP4 and it took months to arrive. Just saying colours are a tricky business.
That said, I wish Vaja would let us zoom in on the case in the customization screen. The current one is tiny.
That's very dark brown. Does it look a bit more brown in person?
My grip durango came in today. It adds no noticeable bulk over the apple leather case. The Vaja is definitely bigger, but it's by a millimeter or so all the way around. It certainly doesn't feel any bigger. Also, I have the same results a previous poster had. The lip is just big enough to keep the screen off the surface when face down.
It's a nice, good looking case. I'm happy with it, and it only took a week and a day from order to arrive from Argentina (though obviously mine was in stock).
No pictures because my only camera is my iPhone, and a picture of a case by itself doesn't really do much.
Yes, orange and birch. Sorry, I only have the space grey color.
Well, i got mines and it does not fit properly on the upper left corner. It does not snap properly because of the thick lining and where its stitched together.
