Vaja makes beautiful products. I have had a case of theirs for each of my sucessive iPhones since the 2G and ordered one for my iPad before this portfolio became available. Mine is black with a barn-red interior. Their cases are expensive, but worth the price.

Hi,

Any issues with wear or loosening of the leather on the interior of the lid and/or the lid with the constant on and off of the lid.

Thanks,

Joe

Yeah, I'd be curious to hear some feedback, hopefully some sucker, errrr, tester will post their findings. :)

I can say as far as my Vaja iphone case, nothing on the case has gotten loose after 18 months.

Finally a case by Vaja that I would consider. $200 however is a bit much for a lowly unemployed baby maker like me.

How did both cases hold up? I went through two limited edition vaja Red and Black cases, and both fit way too tightly, much more so than even unboxing videos I've seen unfortunately, so I had to return them. The cases were a really great quality otherwise. I wasn't sure exactly how the leather would look after a year, though, and how it would compare to a brand new case. I wouldn't mind trying vaja again for the next iPhone, but definitely not for the iPad this time around. I wasn't completely worry-free with my cased iPhone because I didn't want to damage the vaja case since I wasn't confident in its durability.

I have used Vaja cases since the first iPhone, and never had any issue with durability or seen any flaw develop. In fact all of them are in absolutley perfect shape. The one I use on my 3gs is has a flip cover to protect the screen in my pocket or case, and the hinge is still in perfect condition, after a year of hard use. No loose leather anywhere.

I may need to look into these. Love the style in the OP.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Well, I just placed my order for the Agenda in Coffee Bean w/ Friar Brown. You guys are bad influences bringing these to my attention. :p

I was going to hold out on some reviews first but I saw the coupon code and went for it. :D

I ordered mine a few days ago and just got an email from them today telling me that the outside color I ordered was out of stock and they wouldn't be getting it back in. I changed the color to Coffee Bean with Friar Brown and everything is back on track. No loss in time, very nice customer service.

If Amazon would carry a Vaja for the iPad I would buy it right away with overnight shipping. But I don't see myself waiting so long and if there is an issue it would be a pain in the ass to deal with it again.

wow, wish i didn't see this thread.
i really want one now... but i can't decide on colors.
i know i want black as my primary, but unsure about the strap/inside. i was going to get something like the "vibrant green" or "lime green" or "rosa" or "rossa" or "buttercup" lol, but i can't decide. don't want to get something i might get sick of as it is $200.
im a girl... any suggestions?

Think of your personality, how you dress, and where you would carry your iPad the most. Do you want it more dressy or more casual looking? The more obscure or vibrant the color, the less dressy it may be. A business suit and neon green may not be as appropriate as a nice muted rosa color.

YMMV...

Any reviews out there yet? I realize it was just announced with a month lead time, but maybe a preproduction sample sent to independent reviewer sites.

Everyone mentions the price as being the only drawback, but I'm a little concerned about the bulk/weight, and that it won't lay flat when the back is wrapped around - which appears to be the case when it's at typing angle mode, it seems like at least 5 degrees or so of the angle comes from the spine area propping it up.

When it comes to spending an unnecessary amount of money, I tend to display restraint. I have been stalking these forums looking for the perfect case. I like my Apple case's functionality, but the amount of dirt that it shows is maddening and the seems are sharp and obtrusive. Vaja has won my heart with their new case! I feel sorry for all those that bought their first attempt. I would have major buyers remorse if I jumped too early. The Leather Agenda is exactly what I was looking for. Sure, $200 is steep, but the quality is worth it. I hope this helps with all the others looking for their perfect case.

Reminds me of the Balboni Gallardo with that one stripe...I'l stick to my LP560-4! Don't love this case.....

Ditto. Went for the Nautical Blue Stripe on Black Leather.

Yes, it does look very classy and professional though a bit pricey.

From the looks of it, the OP may be right to consider it as one of the best case, though the term is really very subjective. :)

Look forward to seeing some reviews -

From some of the pic's it appears this case will make the Ipad a "Big Pad" - I have tried several cases and most make the Ipad 2X its size. I stick with the Apple case because I want to maintain the "Ipad SLIM" form factor. If I need it to be larger I can put it in my Herman Miller Agenda.

I had several Vaja cases for Ipaq's - including a nice Peacock one that looked great but functionality was all wrong.

For those using the coupon, what's your total coming out to after shipping?

I'm still torn between a top or agenda.

It was close for me between this and the SGP Vintage. The SGP was my favorite until I thought about the clip that closes it--I think this would mean you could not fold the cover underneath, a feature I wanted.

So I ordered the Vaja agenda. I like the way it holds the iPad (or I should say I THINK I like the way it holds it :))

Color selection was a challenge . . . Finally went conservative with Black for the body and Friar Brown for the stripe/inside cover.

Now which will show up first . . . the iPad or the cover ???
