Has anyone received the Vaja Agenda yet? I am wondering if the lid stays aligned when closed since the are no magnets or clips to keep it closed or aligned when closed.

I too am waiting for someone who has received the Agenda. My question is about the flaps that fold out to make the iPad stand up. Is there something sewn inside of them to make them rigid? Also what is to prevent the stand from sliding into a flat position?

Looking at the pictures on the Vaja site, I assume there is something inside the flaps to make them rigid. But I can see no mechanism to prevent the flaps from sliding completely backwards or forwards and the iPad falling flat. I'd really like to hear from someone who has actually used this Agenda first-hand.

I emailed them about the flaps and was told they are sewn to prevent it from sliding out from under. Not sure about what keeps them from folding in though.

What are they drinking at vaja?

The price on the agenda is now $280 and the delivery time is 60 days. Seems like they are trying to find the resistance point -- and they have, IMHO! They make great products, but a case that costs half as much as the device is hard to justify no matter the quality

WOW!!!!

I'm glad that I placed my order last week instead of waiting until next month like I was planning on.

I agree that they are starting to get out of hand with the pricing.

I wouldn't buy a $200+ case from anyone without some reviews first, especially now that you have to wait 60 days and pay $280! I'm sure the leather quality will be there but so far most of the cases by Sena and Piel have not been "perfect", at $200+ the case better be able to make me an espresso :)

Anyone have the sinking feeling that the Vaja Agenda is vaporware ???
(Spoken by one who has one on order, but at an earlier price:cool:)

I ordered mine Sunday night, got it at the 230.00 price. With the discount and shipping it came to 215.50. They must have raised the price this morning.

I have had an iPhone and a 300.00 Macbook air case from them and their work is outstanding. I have also wondered about the two different stands and how they work.

They do take a while to deliver, if they say 45 days, it takes that long. I was surprised to see them change it to 60

The price increase is crazy! I've been waiting to order a leather agenda until I see some user reviews and photos, but none yet. I think for this price I'll just get the ivolution top gt. $300 is just to much!

I ordered my Agenda on May 4 and it hasn't shown up yet. It was 'only' $200 combined with a 15% coupon.

I chose the Nautical Blue outside and Caterina Birch stripe and interior - a color combo they don't appear to be offering any longer.

Hope it arrives soon - can't wait!

Ditto that. While Vaja is free to adjust the prices of their cases as they wish, this was quite an increase in such a short period of time. Demand must have been high for them to do this.

Unfortunately for me, the new price of this case has pretty much removed it from my wish list. :(

I ordered the Agenda on May 18, Nautical Blue with Black stripe. Still waiting but I have no worries. I have a Vaja case in the same color combo for my old 40 G big bulky monster of a thing IPOD and neither the case nor the IPod has done me wrong after approx. 7 yrs. of use.

Honestly, I hope they take the full 45 days to make mine. I'd much rather it take 45 days and come out looking perfect than take 3 days and fall apart a week later. A long wait time usually means a quality product that isn't rushed and I admire that from a company. Any company that will risk losing orders due to high wait times to ensure a quality final product is a winner in my book. However, I will admit having to wait really, really sucks..

You better put up a review when you get yours to help the rest of us deal with our wait ;)

When I ordered it, Vaja said it would take 35 days to make. It took exactly that long before I received the shipment notice. FedEx has it now in Buenos Aires.

If you go to Vaja's site, I ordered the same color combo as the ivolution Top SP shown in the iPad catalog.

Hmmmmm

Hmmmm I just thought of something......the increase in price of the Vaja Agenda roughly coincides wide the distribution of the 15% MACSTORIES coupon on this list. Let's see it was $200 but now its $230...hmmmmm that is a 15% increase.....coincidence??????? Hmmmmmmm

GUESS WHAT......they just RAISED THE PRICE AGAIN TO $280 and a 60 Day Wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They either do not want to make them anymore OR they are selling lots of them. WOW!

As the owner of a few iPhone Vaja and now iPad Orbino cases, I have learned the hard way thanks to Orbino's 9-week turnover, to order and forget it. That's my new motto when it comes to these luxury, handcrafted cases. Standing anxious with one's nose pressed against the window like a puppy only causes undue stress and impatience.

I just ordered the Vaja Agenda for my iPad last week or so, but I'm so not counting the days. It'll get here when it arrives. Of course if I notice it's been exceedingly beyond the estimated date, I would check in, but Vaja's not been too late with deliveries for me. Only once.

Just received a shipping notice from Vaja. My agenda case should arrive by Monday.

You will definitely receive yours before I do. Can you take some photos and give a first impression? It's funny, I love anticipation but I hate waiting!

Will do but FedEx now says delivery is June 16. How cruel is that? At least it's by 10:30 am. I'm working from home that day. ;)

FedEx says it's on the truck. Should be here shortly.

Got my Agenda!

Just arrived via FedEx! Ordered on May 4 and I can believe why it takes (or was taking) 35 days to make.

The two fold-out legs that are used to stand the iPad up on flat surfaces have nice straps that limit how far they can open. There are two magnets that hold the large flap in place to the back of the cover. Vaja is stamped all over the backsides of the flaps.

There's no magnet holding the cover against the iPad and it doesn't close flush against the iPad's screen because the legs sit slightly atop the back cover instead of folding completely into the cover.

Had no problem getting the iPad seated into the case.

Overall: I give it an A- because I thought the cover would be flat on the screen. But the leather is awesome quality along with the stitching. The padding is perfect to keep it safe in my bag.

See the pics!!

Thanks for the pics and first impressions! I am jealous!! Now that it's in your hand, would you still pay the same amount for it (or the updated price for that matter)?

I'd still pay what I originally did, which was the (long ago) $200 price plus 15% off that. That's my ceiling though. I can't see paying $280 and waiting 60 days.
