I can definitely vouch for the iVolution Top SP. The quality is superb apart from the cuts of the leather which are clearly done by hand and thus slightly rough. I think this is, in some way, intentional, however, to grant the case a proper hand-made feel... but otherwise they should really learn to use a scalpel!

I'm waiting for a leather agenda to turn up, it definitely looks the business and the idea of having a stand built in is enticing. But the iVolution is extremely sexy and unique.

You can see what I mean about cuts in my photos:

The SGP was my favorite until I thought about the clip that closes it--I think this would mean you could not fold the cover underneath, a feature I wanted.

So I ordered the Vaja agenda.

This is a feature that's important to me as well, but in addition I want it to be able to lay flat. Looking at the first photo that's questionable, as the binding seems to prop it up a bit. I'm holding out for the first reviews before taking the plunge.

Well I took the plunge and pulled the trigger on an Agenda, Toffee with the Brownie insert.

Whoever posted the savings coupon, thanks a million.

Now comes the hard part, waiting.

Must be popular . . .

. . . the price went up to $230 and the waiting period is now 45 days!!!

I'm quite irritated with this company right now since they have declined my order three times. After the second, I got a call from my CC company fraud department asking if this was a legit purchase and if they should approve it. I obviously told them yes. My card was cleared and awaiting the order from this company on the card. I just got a notice from Vaja stating that my CC was declined. I called my CC company and they have not seen any transactions from this company since my original declined order on 5/19.

Now, the price has increased.

I have to wonder about these guys...

First I get an email saying thanks for your order. Then an order saying your order is in process. Then an email saying my order is being reviewed. Now today I get the email saying we are getting ready to charge your credit card.

No wonder it takes 35 days, they spend half that time jacking around with the order process. Start stitching already.

Funny how the prices increase is just about the same amount as the discount coupon floating around..

better than not hearing anything.

Sounds like they are very friendly :D

That's ridicuolous. I was seriously considering buying one and was waiting for some user reviews on the forum before ordering. But i was considering at $200 with a 15% coupon which would have got it here for 190 shipped.

There is no way I am buying at 230 + shipping = 250

I ordered the Vaja Leather Agenda after waiting for dear life for my Orbino case that STILL has not arrived. The iPad 2 will probably be out before it arrives. So now I've spent about $450 on cases, but I'm hoping to be able to sell the Orbino because the Vaja looks better.

I like the book-cover look that disguises the iPad a bit better in public places.

Oh, and yes, I have the Apple case. But I never expected quality from that. I expected my Orbino to arrive and replace it.

If you can afford a $200 for a case you probably can afford to buy a new iPad if you dropped it-- so why get a case?

That's way too much money to protect a product in the price range of an iPad. It's nice but worth $80 tops.

You weren't addressing me but, I bought a Vaja (and Orbino) case to protect it from minor scuffs so that I can re-sell it at a decent price when the new version is released. Also, I prefer to disguise it, as the Apple case is very recognizable to tech savvy people who have pointed it out even when closed.

How did both cases hold up? I went through two limited edition vaja Red and Black cases, and both fit way too tightly, much more so than even unboxing videos I've seen unfortunately, so I had to return them. The cases were a really great quality otherwise. I wasn't sure exactly how the leather would look after a year, though, and how it would compare to a brand new case. I wouldn't mind trying vaja again for the next iPhone, but definitely not for the iPad this time around. I wasn't completely worry-free with my cased iPhone because I didn't want to damage the vaja case since I wasn't confident in its durability.

I've had a few Vaja cases for the iPhone.

One case, something like the iVolution Top design, didn't hold the iPhone well. If it bumped against anything, it would fall out.

I replaced it with the iVolution Top Crystal 2, which is fantastic...except that those crystals do fall out if you don't keep it in the case that comes with it. So it's very high maintenance.

You have to keep the Vaja Crystal case inside of a case. I did that for a while after spending so much for it, but once I stopped, I noticed more and more missing crystals. Vaja promised to replace it but didn't. I just let it go, but won't order that type of case again.

What I do love about the Vaja cases are the straps. When in public, like Times Square or unsavory neighborhoods, I put the strap around my wrist to secure the iPhone from being snatched.

Is it just me or does Vaja's website at vajacases.com NEVER work? I keep getting a timed out message.

Man, beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. From the looks of people loving this case, I must be in the very small minority because I think it's pretty unattractive and incredibly overpriced.

Hmm. It works for me every time I visit it.

Because the site is Flash enabled, it doesn't work on the iPad (go figure). You will need to access it from a standard computer browser that supports Flash.

EDIT: I found out why my card was denied and order not processed originally. I had the four digit extension on my zip code. :( I'm debating on whether I want to spend the extra $25 and try this one last time.

the Leather Agenda does not have a secured closure. There's no clip or magnet holding the cover onto the other side when closed. I just got confirmation from Vaja saying because it's a "book" style case. Sucks. I can't buy the case for this single reason.

I thought the same, that the case was too tight when I first got it but after a month it loosened up and I love my vaja r&b. I've had it for a year now and it looks as good as new. I also love the ivolution top crystal I use every so often. Have had no problems with missing crystals.

Sure wish I'd visited this site before I bought my ipad leather agenda ... heck, I paid the full price AND have to wait for the 45 day production time!!! Oh well, at least I know I'll get a beautifully made product.

I've got the incase cover for my ipad for the time being and the only problem is that with the way it is inserted in the case, my ipad tends to slip down and I'm always having to squish it back in the case to facilitate the charging connector. So am hoping with the vaja I won't have that problem. ;)

I thought the same at first but with my incase (temporary "fix") using the stretchy closure strap, I find that I don't use it at all so think I'll be satisfied with the agenda. In "book mode" most cases stay closed like a book, I've found.

I bit the bullet on one of these also. Ended up going with black on black to keep it classy. The wait begins..

Has anyone received the Vaja Agenda yet?

Has anyone received the Vaja Agenda yet? I am wondering if the lid stays aligned when closed since the are no magnets or clips to keep it closed or aligned when closed.
