Ever since my first 3rd generation iPod with the touch sensitive buttons, I've wanted a Vaja case. Always been a bit too expensive though...

If I can't find a case that I want, then I might just finally order one...

I paid $280 (not including shipping) for my Vaja Agenda 2! Right now I'm sticking with my smart cover and skin for the back. I was told by an importer that Chinao is coming out with an Agenda 2 clone with smart cover functionality. I'm guessing the price will be $40-45 range.

How do you like your Agenda 2 overall? I take it you like it since you want a knock off. I don't blame you for not wanting to pay that again, not to mention no agenda for the ipad 2 anyway. I took the plunge on the black Libretto, I am sure I will regret it. Using the smart cover now, which I am not crazy about so far. Maybe once I get the invisible shield on the back I will feel better about it.

My biggest issue with Vaja is their lack of responsiveness to general questions and that open corner on the Libretto. I also have an order in for the Marware CEO case for the ipad2, going to eval all at once and then return the one I don't want I guess. Only way I can make a decision is to see, feel and touch these cases.

Has anyone who's ordered received a confirmation email?

I placed my order Friday evening...but have yet to hear anything. I even sent them an email about it yesterday, but they haven't replied...

My confirmation email was sent 24 hours later, when I placed the order it said I had 24 hours to cancel the order after that I could not cancel the order and my order would be processed and a confirmation email would be sent out and it was.

I also placed an order for the Libretto dark brown. Came out to USD 199. Got an instant order confirmation. There will be a "charge" confirmation once the order has been processed and your credit card has been charged. This should be within 24 hrs but since we both ordered after office hours I guess a confirmation will follow come monday

This seems like an odd policy since they have a return policy..Which I plan on exercising if I don't like the case. Not sure why they wouldn't let you cancel the order since you have the option to return once you receive it.

Anyway I ordered mine last night and the more I think about that exposed corner the more I grow concerned with having the ability to just throw it in a bag for travel etc.

The reason I like this case is the beauty of it and the sleep/wake functionality, but I gotta be honest the Mareware CEO case for iPad2 is a strong competitor here and they had the foresight to wrap that corner. I think it was just a style thing for Vaja not to wrap that corner, there is no design reason they couldn't.

I loved the style of the Agenda 2 case. In my opinion that case is the absolute best style for the iPad 2. I chose the Mamut leather and it was very beautiful. However, it picked up scratches TOO easily. I really baby my toys and was surprised at how fast marks started showing up on the leather. Especially since I paid $280 + $20 shipping for it. I definitely won't be spending that kind of money on an ipad case again. It was just too upsetting anytime I saw a new mark on it.

For now I'm sticking with my black leather smart cover and faux black leather skin from Surface Skins on the rear. I really want to be constantly reminded how thin my new iPad 2 is! I was told that Chinao is making a knock off of the Agenda 2 case for iPad 2 and I might switch to that later on if I get tired of the minimalistic coverage provided by the smart cover/skin combination.

Thanks Sotie...I actually just discovered the Piel Frama cases. Whoa they are nice. Like the quality and they are cheaper. But they have that leather strip around the bezel which I am not wild about. But at least the corners are covered!

If I cancel the Vaja it will be for one of these.

Yeah, I can't stand it when the bezel is covered by a case. I think the iPad just doesn't look as "classy" when the bezel is covered. It's also a bit harder to use the touchscreen that way as well.

I have only a month more to wait...Can one of you please come through my computer and stab me in the heart? ;)

I can't wait!

Save yourself over $100 bux and get this instead... looks almost the same:

I actually ordered this because it was the only thing available when I ordered. It came in a few days ago and it is a waste of money. It is very cheaply made. Doesn't feel like it offers any protection, it looks horrible, the stitching is messy.

And to top it off it smells so bad. I have to keep it at arms length away to keep myself from gagging.

The only reason I still have it on is because it fits good and is better than nothing...I will not take my iPad out of the house with it though.

This company puts out quality stuff and their customer service is 10x better than vajas.

TOP quality leather too. I have the full case (magnetic cover). Check cases.Com

Yeah I like their stuff alot, but the only case I would consider is the cinema which isn't available yet, and the leather covers too much of the bezel for my taste. This iMagnum is cool but by the time you buy that and a complimentary leather Smart Cover your at the same price, if not more than the Libretto. Other than the modularity of it, I can't see a reason to go with the iMagnum. Pretty cool design though, surprisingly cut similar to the Libretto as well.

Post some pics of yours if you get some time, would love to see it on an iPad2

I had a dilemma on my hands that almost made me to decide NOT to get the iPad 2.:
I had a perfectly good piel frama case for my iPad 1 ( that I paid 130 bucks for) and knew I wouldn't get any $$ for it if I tried to sell both together (or separate, for that matter), so I almost just passed on the ipad2, assuming the piel frama wouldn't fit the new iPad.

Ended up rolling the dice and getting the iPad 2 and got my new iPad to fit the old piel frama case. Now I feel like I'm going to get my $$s worth with the $130.00 original case!
Does it fit perfect? No. But good enough for me until the next iPad (3) comes out! Hell, this original case might fit that one too!

From my post a few weeks ago:

I cut my old original iPad cover lid ( the ol' lint catcher) from the back of it, and slid it in my Piel Frama case for the iPad1, then slipped my iPad2 into it. It fits really good. I cant use the camera (which I'll never use anyway), and the side slot is just a *little* deep (you can still EASILY acces the switches), but I LOVE that leather ca$e and am thrilled I can use it for my iPad 2. Honestly dont think you would even notice its not a iPad 2 case.

I ordered the Piel Frama iPad 2 case on Friday when they sent me the notice, but canceled today after getting the new iPad to fit in the old case this weekend.

Cardboard may work too or any thin type material, but the lid from the old iPad works perfect and its black (and kind of sticky), so you cant see it if there was an edge towards the hinge.

Give it a try if you have a Piel frama iPad 1 case. Cant hurt! Fits nice and tight, and does NOT look hokey.

Most beautiful cases on the market (imho).

edit: I noticed that the center home button is just a little off center as well, due to the bezel disappearing on the iPad 2, (making it a little less wide overall) but its not off center by much and you can still see the whole button with the case on.

Also, the volume and lock buttons are a little inset, but can be reached, if you don't have fat fingers ( which I do, but I get by).

I was actually suggesting this if anyone had a older piel frama case and a new iPad. Don't want to be responsible for anyone actually buying a piel frama case 1 for an iPad 2. (no camera access etc). I'm just thrilled I get to use this case for another year etc.....

Let's see some pictures!

I just ordered the "Olive Night" (dark green) Libretto. Just couldn't help myself. It's only money, right? Now the long wait. I have the black edition on my iPhone 4 and that's what convinced me to quit looking at sub-par leather cases and just order what I really wanted. Hopefully it will live up to my expectations.

For now I'm using the Yoobao and it's fine for what it is but does cover the bezel, and the sleep/wake is messed up. I may try to exchange it for the improved version if I can since I can probably get that long before the Vaja shows up.

Anyone get a shipping notice for their Libretto yet?

Still waiting here...

Still waiting...Looks like those sonsabitches are gonna drag this the full 35. I got me a naked iPad over here and it's driving me batty.

You will be happy I am sure..I have looked every detail of every case worth looking at and this one is the least amount of compromises for the iPad2. Best leather, no bezel coverage, best looking, nice stand positions, most unique. Just a looooooooong wait from some lazy Union Labor workers in Argentina.

There is one important compromise, an entire corner of your iPad is completely unprotected.
