I loved the style of the Agenda 2 case. In my opinion that case is the absolute best style for the iPad 2. I chose the Mamut leather and it was very beautiful. However, it picked up scratches TOO easily. I really baby my toys and was surprised at how fast marks started showing up on the leather. Especially since I paid $280 + $20 shipping for it. I definitely won't be spending that kind of money on an ipad case again. It was just too upsetting anytime I saw a new mark on it.

For now I'm sticking with my black leather smart cover and faux black leather skin from Surface Skins on the rear. I really want to be constantly reminded how thin my new iPad 2 is! I was told that Chinao is making a knock off of the Agenda 2 case for iPad 2 and I might switch to that later on if I get tired of the minimalistic coverage provided by the smart cover/skin combination.

I hear you.

You pay enough for the case, you have to start worrying about a case for your case.

Then you get mad when the case gets the dings your iPad would have received without the stupid case on.

Still waiting...Looks like those sonsabitches are gonna drag this the full 35. I got me a naked iPad over here and it's driving me batty.

From what I recall when they initially released their iPad 1 cases last year if they say 35 days it will ship on the 35th day!

Like the look of this one a lot, but I do wonder if that metal tab on the back would scratch a wooden table/desk.

Yes I thought about that too, definite weakness if you ask me. Like I have said in other threads, all these cases usually make you compromise somehow.

It may be that based on their product backlog they know pretty well when they'll get to a certain order.

Well my 35th day is May 4th and I got a note saying they were working "under" the 35 days..I am sure that means nothing. I will count out it shipping the week of the 2nd of May..Hopefully it gets here before my trip to Texas cause I want to take it with me, right now it's nude!

My Libretto shipped out on 4/20 via FedEx from Buenos Aires. I didn't get a shipment notification, but a quick email to customer service got my my tracking number.

Can't wait!

Oh my stars! This is faannnnnnnntastic! What was your order date? If it shipped that long ago I would think its about here by now!

Looks like you will be the first to post pictures!!

@ stangs..I just saw you ordered on the 25th from your original post. I ordered the 28th, so logic says I am right behind you.

Pics pics pics!

Pictures would be great! Going to order a Libretto today in black, 35 days is epic though

Yep it is a lonnnnnnggggg wait, especially if your iPad is nude. I think it will be worth it, maybe some pics will confirm that it's worth the wait for you.

My order was processed on 03/23/11 and they just told me that it should ship with in one week.

Guess that pokes holes in their orders being organized. Company is honestly wacked..Its might be the most odd buying experience I have ever had. I feel like I ordered a Ferrari or an Aston Martin or something and I am waiting for it to be built.

It literally probably takes them no time to stitch this thing together once they have a prototype made. And the cost of materials is maybe $20, lets say labor is $40 per case (doubtful) they're making $100 a case. Not a bad profit..

These kind of business practice does not last long. Once you see clones of their product from say China, it will be all over.

Vaja has been around for a long time now, and their business has been the same for a long time now. In 2005 (I think, may have been 2006), I waited 90 days for a leather case for my 5G iPod. I still have it, and it's still absolutely beautiful.

I for one very much look forward to receiving my Libretto for iPad 2, which I ordered 20 days ago.

Not even close. Here, you get what you pay for.

These guys are a top shelf outfit.

China has great stuff, and admirable clones, but they won't come close.

Just the facts (As I see them of course) :D

Of course i'm lecturing ;) . Many of us know these guys well; they been around forever. Always, spendy, but worth it if you have the disposable cash.

I must say I am bummed folks posted over a month ago that their Libretto order shipped and nobody has posted any reviews, impressions, photos, etc.

Anyone care to share ANYTHING about their Libretto case?!

I think so too. After days of going around in circles, I just bit the bullet and finally placed my order this morning. Glad to have finally done it, though I don't know how I'll hold up another 35 or more days with just the smart cover...

Its tough, all I have is a Zagg on it now and my 3 year old uses it daily. I ordered another case style to try it out (toblino 2) but returned it..Hated that form factor where you pop it out of half the case to stand it up. Dumb..The Vaja really does kill most of the cases out there overall. The exposed corner is about the only bad part about the design itself.

Get something cheap in the meantime if your worried about the back of it. Then return when the Vaja comes.

You made a good choice regardless of the wait, trust me I have vetted every case out there throughly. None are like this one, they all give up some important aspect. The Libretto just gives up less in terms of what I want anyway.

Sorry for the late reply. Took some pics, they didn't turn out well but anyway here you go. The overall impression of the case so far (after one day) is good. Had bit higher expectations though. The black microfiber inner lining is the only thing that is really annoying me, as it will not doubt get dirty really fast especially if the iPad is placed in a "cinema" position on those airplane trays that can be described as anything but clean.

I would probably have opted for the Agenda 2 if it had been available when I placed my order. But the Libretto is good value and guess it will take some time to get used to it.

it is not bad from those pictures. i am not too sure if $180(shipping included) is the price to pay. patiently waiting for other offerings.. for now, smart covers will do.

Thanks for the pictures! How does it feel in the hand?

The Smart cover has the same issue with the microfiber facing outward in cinema position. Not a huge deal so far in practice, though I agree that it would be nice if it was leather touching the table rather than microfiber.

The Agenda 2 has three problems for me:
1) pretty sure it's thicker (the description says it's "padded",
2) it doesn't have magnetic closure, rather it has "elastic band closure" which I wouldn't be thrilled about,
3) the embossed leather on the inside of the cover would leave a "Vaja Vaja Vaja Vaja Vaja" pattern all over the screen.
