So if I purchase an iPhone XS max on an existing line and then create a new line for my daughter and purchase an iPhone XS max for that line, I assume I will get the $700 credit.

Question is will I be able to later on switch the XS max bought with the new line to a different line on the account. The new line would stay open with a different phone assigned to it. Do you think I would lose the credit in this situation?
Yes you can, as long as you keep the line active

Wow, I just so happened to be in position to take advantage of this offer given my fiancé wants to join my plan...and I thought I knew all of the details, and boom. 256gb only. I’m in the XS Max 512 camp. What a gut punch.

I think the 256gb is only meaning if you buy the iPhone 8. It says you can buy the iPhone 8 64gb but get a lower monthly credit.

Any of the other models qualify regardless of storage size.

the 256gb only applies to iphone 8 only. You can buy 512gb or 64gb Xs and still get $700. or buy iphone 8 64gb and get less credit, read the fine print.

The fine print is what led me to believe this.

We have two lines out of contract. Can I just order one for an existing line, one for a new line and cancel one of the old lines? I don't care if I have to get a new number.

Nope you can choose any storage size for the Xs or Xs Max with the BOGO.

Yes and no so if you have 2 lines out of contract you will need to open a new line and then buy one one of the two existing lines and then the new line will get the second phone. Once you get the phones and activate them then you can cancel the 2nd old line you did not use.

Anybody aware of the "going rate" for the iPhone X is if I wanted to trade it in towards my pre-order? All the website says is $100 minimum for qualifing devices but I don't wanna order a phone before I know what they'll give me for my current device.

Brand new to Verizon. I opened two lines yesterday and ported my (Line 1) iPhone X and wife’s 6s (Line 2). Because AT&T is incompetent my mother in laws iPhone 6s (Soon to be line 3) did not unlock and we have to wait for it to unlock before bringing her to Verizon.

So I saw the new deal for $700 off a second IPhone Xs and wondered if what I want to do will work.

I want to upgrade line two from 6s to Iphone Xs

I want to add line 3 to get the second Xs for the discount.

After I get the second Xs I want to move that phone to the line one X and add the line one X to the new line (Line 3)

Then port the phone number currently with AT&T to line 3.

Is this at all possible?

At least it lets you load the page, so hopefully the button activates properly...
[doublepost=1536902727][/doublepost]Is the battery life on their site wrong? VZ page says 13 hours for XS Max and 20 hours for XS.

Well, so do the 700 off you need to open a new line and have the second phone on that line and also you need to keep that line open as the device payments will be tied to that line, as the credits are also. I don't know I you can port a number to line 3 but you do wait a 2 weeks.

For Iphone 8 I got a new number on it then ported my wife's number over when we finished her ATT device payments. So its doable

In the app, anyone else able to add the XS in cart, select trade in and get all the way to the checkout button? I'm there and afraid to press checkout because it will mess everything up.

No, I see it but at the bottom there is a countdown for pre-order and I can't add to cart. You made it all the way to the cart??

I've been able to order early in the past. They didn't cancel my order. I'd say go for it!

I can get both phones into the cart but when I click checkout I get a box at the top that says ordering has not opened yet and has the countdown clock.

when you see the count down, select all the options at the bottom (promo, trade in etc). Press the back arrow on the top left. Then navigate back to the phone again... I've done it multiple times and each time the count down changes from a clock to button showing monthly payment...

Not working for me. But I believe you.

When selecting trade-in is it giving you a quote on how much your trade-in is worth? I'm not yet a Verizon customer so I can't get this far but I'm looking to switch and trade in my X and curious about their offer.

My 7 128G is 227. I think if you search for verizon trade-in there is a page that lets you enter your phone info and gives you the quote. I did it a few days ago and matched what I saw tonight.

You only lose the credit if you close the line or payoff the device early.
