Carrier Verizon 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I was under the impression you had to buy AppleCare + for the full amount of $299 if you purchased outside of Apple, where as Apple factored AppleCare + into the monthly phone price.

I could be mistaken though.
 
with the deal do we have to do the device payment plan or can we just pay in full and still get the deal with the $700 off?

That being said, I won’t be doing it. I wanted the XR and that’s not one of the available options. This deal applies to the XS, XSmax, old X, 8+ and 8.

What a joke the price of the old X is the same as the XS. Who would buy the X if you can get the new one at same price? The 8+ is $799 when the XR is $750?

I guess I’ll be keeping my 7 and then hope they have a good deal with the XR coms out

I’m in the same boat. My husband doesn’t actually want a new phone but I’m sure he’d take one if the deal was good. I’d be happy with something similar to 2 years ago and the $650 credit.
 
Has it always been the case where even if you choose to buy a Verizon iPhone full-price on Apple's website, they still require you to enter your Verizon account info?

I know T-Mobile doesn't require it.

I’m assuming there would be away around it, like cancelling a line afterward and transferring numbers. However like someone said upthread, that’s a lot of work so I’m hoping for better when the XR is released.

This is what I was told as well. You have to add a line for the second phone.

I was hoping for some deal with a credit towards the Apple Watch, like they do sometimes with the iPad. My fingers are crossed. I plan on getting both devices in a few hours.
 
Anyone know what the Verizon Waiting Room is? Rep mentioned to me today, that tonight at 11:45 PST you can start the process then??
 
So what happens if I hit the "upgrade now" button on the Verizon website? Will it let me pay my balance I need to be 1/2 way through paying for my iPhone X? Then I simply select the Xs Max when pr-ordering starts in a few hours?
 
Hi all!! The last three years I’ve preordered and posted Here. I’m sitting this one out. For now anyway. Enjoy and have fun. This was my favorite part ! :)

Dont hit UPGRADE NOW until you're ready to upgrade.

A few questions for preordering -

When preordering through Verizon, can you make a down payment through Verizon, can you make a down payment at the time of preorder to make your down payment cheaper every month?

Also-

If I have made over half my payments to Verizon on my 8 plus, can I preorder through apple and still do an early upgrade? I would send in my 8 plus to apple and then still Verizon financing through my apple preorder
 
Since I don't have someone to help me tonight (my significant other has gone to bed), I will order my iPhone Xs Max on Verizon's website first then jump over to Apple's website and get my Watch Series 4. Or, do you all think I could do both at the same time. Watch Series 4 might be more of a hot seller than the iPhone Xs Max. So then I should order it first? I'm so confused!!!
 
So if I purchase an iPhone XS max on an existing line and then create a new line for my daughter and purchase an iPhone XS max for that line, I assume I will get the $700 credit.

Question is will I be able to later on switch the XS max bought with the new line to a different line on the account. The new line would stay open with a different phone assigned to it. Do you think I would lose the credit in this situation?
